Private Guided Full-Day Customizable Tour of Holland from Amsterdam

Everything about our experience was seamless and fun. They were great with communication and planning suggestions. Our transportation from the airport to the hotel was timely and friendly. Our tour guide Wien was great! She was very information and attentive to the needs of our family. Would recommend them highly to make your Amsterdam visit as easy as if you were staying with family.

Great tour to see the tulips, Kukenhof Gardens and Mills. Mieke was a great tour guide. We had a 12 hour layover in AMS and this was great because Mieke picked us up and dropped us right back at the airport. higly recommend!

Fabulous day with the best guide! Our day with Stefka couldn’t have been more informative and fun. She is so knowledgeable about Keukenhof, tulips, history of the Netherlands…anything we could ask! Recommend very highly.

We hired Stefka and Holland Private Tour for an all day trip from Amsterdam to Delft and The Hague. Stefka (and Ilonka) were very prompt in their communication and set up a perfect itinerary for us based on our interests, ranging from the Royal Delft pottery museum, to walking tours of Delft and The Hague, to the Mauritshaus and Escher museums in The Hague, to finding a perfect spot for lunch. Our tour guide Vincent was extremely knowledgeable and really made the history of the Netherlands come to life for us. We considered doing a less expensive big bus tour, but we were so glad we chose.Holland Private Tour because they could pick us up at our hotel, they were able to give us a guided tour during the one hour to and from Delft/The Hague without us having to worry about renting a car and driving or taking the train, the driver was able to drop us right at the front of everywhere we wanted to go, and we were in such good hands all day. We will definitely use this company again on a return trip to the Netherlands for a customized private tour. Thank you for an incredible experience that we will remember for a very long time!

A group of 7 of us were heading on a cruise out of Amsterdam, but were landing early in the morning of the day before the cruise departed and we didn't want to lose a whole day sitting in a hotel room. We are quite a diverse group with a broad range of interests. We are all well-travelled; some more than others. So, when I went looking for a tour, a "customizable" tour caught my interest. I read the advertisement; I read the descriptions: I read the reviews. I was impressed. When I discussed with my friends what we might request of our tour guide as he customizes our tour, I got a broad range of suggestions, requests and lots of I don't know.... I just want to really enjoy the day. Well, we got all that we asked for, thought of, dreamed of and then some. Niels is an excellent tour guide. He is knowledgeable about a lot of topics from the politics driving the impressive growth of the Netherlands, the social fabric of individual villages and communities, the history of massive engineering feats, the policies created to encourage the placement and development of the people to meet over-arching goals and the outcomes! So, even when we were driving back to our hotel at the end of the day, we were learning from him. Niels was attentive to our needs, seeded questions to get us thinking, and ensured that we all could see, hear and understand demonstrations shown to us We asked to be shown what life was like for the rural folks outside of Amsterdam. We wanted to see small unique villages. We wanted great local food, not once, but twice during our tour. And finally, we wanted to be back at our hotel to get a great night's sleep and be ready to get on our cruise ship the next day. He did all of that for us. I hope if Niels ever does decide to come to Canada that he gets in touch with me so we can try to be 1/2 the hosts to him that he was to us. I would highly recommend indulging in an amazing experience by signing up for this tour.

We had a great experience with this custom tour. We went to some windmills, stopped in Delft, and then on to Kuekenhoff where our guide gave us a fabulous tour. We truly enjoyed the day, and after he gave us suggestions on where to eat and where to get the best stroopwaffel. Highly recommend using Neils!

It was a very nice day. We were able to visit all of the places we wanted to and had a lovely time at lunch in Deventer. The Kroeler Mueller museum was a nice addition to our tour of various Dutch institutions. Our guide was helpful and we enjoyed nthe day with him.

I’ve hesitated to write this review because our driver was such a nice person, but people around me have urged me to write. We paid almost $1000 for a car and guide to visit the Mauritshuis, Delft and Keukenhof. At the start of the trip, I made it clear that I was very interested in all the details about the Netherlands: geography, history, politics, etc. Unfortunately, all we got was a car and driver. Unless I asked a specific question, our so-called “guide” didn’t offer any information. The very reason I often hire a private guide is to have a better, fuller tourist experience than I’d get sitting in a bus. Perhaps it is the policy of Viator to hire people who can only provide minimal information. That has not been my experience with other companies (“Tours by Locals”, for example) or in other countries.

Neils was our guide. While we saw a lot of sites, we were not hurried. He took the time to explain and educate us on the places we visited. He was extraordinarly kind and helpful. We had our grandchild with us (less than 2 years old) and while the baby was good, Neils was very considerate of the baby. By the end of the trip, we felt like he was family which just made the experience that much more special. I would highly recommend this trip and this guide.
