07:15 – 07:45 Pick-up from your hotel or private address in Hanoi Old Quarter and departure to Ninh Binh.
09:30 -10:00 Arrive at Hang Mua, "Mua Cave" one of the most alluring places to get the panorama view in Ninh Binh, hiking up to the peak of Ngoa Long Mountain to take in your amazing views of the Tam Coc, Ninh Binh area.
11:00 – 11:30 Take a bike and start riding around the village to explore the gorgeous rice fields surrounded by limestone mountains with a unique route and visit a local family in the Tam Coc area. They are a traditional Vietnamese family with three generations living together. Here you will get the chance to see the house’s architecture and their daily lives.
12:30 Enjoy a special lunch prepared with the traditional cuisine featuring the yin-yang balance of the Asian culture.
14:00 After lunch break, continue your trip with a sampan rowed by a local for about 1.5 hours to explore Tam Coc "Halong Bay on the land". The boat trip is a nice journey along the river with the peaceful scenery of limestone mountains and caves stretching along Ngo Dong River rice paddy if travelling during harvest season.
16:30 Arrive in Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century, and visit the temple of King Dinh. Under the introduction of our local guide, you will get to know more about Vietnamese history.
17.30 Leave Ninh Binh and drive straight back to Hanoi.

This is a full day that works if short on time. However I would choose to make the time to stay overnight in Ninh Bahn if possible. This is a long day and you are traveling with the crowds once at the spots. Overnighting allows you to visit earlier or later to avoid so may people. Guide was informative and very kind and accommodating. Nice vehicle space when on a private tour that coach tours don’t provide.
I did the trip with Tom from Hanoi and it was amazing. He gave me a lot of information of the Vietnamees colture en told a lot of the places that we visited. Really nice experions.

This tour was the perfect day trip from Hanoi, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting. We were picked up in the morning from our hotel by our tour guide Tom and driver Jerry. Jerry was a great driver especially navigating the crazy Hanoi traffic. Tom was a great guide, very funny and knowledgeable. We had originally picked a different boat option for the tour and Tom provided guidance that lead us to changing our decision (he was very flexible and helpful the whole time). The scenery was beautiful and it was overall a 10/10 experience!!

We had a great time on our Nimh Binh tour! We did the private tour and I highly recommend this one. The vehicle you travel in is very comfortable and spacious. Our tour guide Hung was awesome; very knowledgeable and funny. He also went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and understood everything. This tour is action packed and worth every penny! It’s definitely an active tour, but you can take it at your own pace and you will see some epic sights and truly breathtaking views and nature. We loved this trip and it will surely be a highlight of our trip.

Hung was an amazing tour guide who took time to answer our questions and teach us a lot of the local and national history. The weather was hot, but our van was always cold when we returned from a hike, boat, or bike ride.
