Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan located at altitudes of nearly 4000 feet, this is the heart of Bali farming area, with coffee plantations, vegetable fields and traditional rice paddies covering the nearby slopes. Lake Tamblingan is important in the religious life of the local villagers who earn their livelihoods by fishing, farming and ferrying tourists and the devout by dugout canoe to the 31 temples located near the lake. Very little is found about these two important lakes in most tourist literature. Tourism is just gaining a foothold in this very traditional area, with most visitors going to better known Lake Bratan a few miles to the east.

Ulun Danu Lake Beratan Temple is famous picturesque landmark and a significant temple complex located on the western side of the Beratan Lake in Bedugul, central Bali. Ulun Danu Lake Beratan Temple, literally the source temple of Lake Beratan, is easily the island most iconic sanctuary sharing the scenic qualities with the seaside temples of Uluwatu and Tanah Lot.
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace pretty much cover the region of the namesake upland village in West Bali, most famous for its landscapes that are both dramatic and truly exotic. Sourced from the thermal waters of Batukaru Mount, the hot springs meander down the hillsides, providing a rejuvenating experience for visitors in the quaint village of Penatahan.
Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali most important landmarks, famed for its unique offshore setting and sunset backdrops. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves, Tanah Lot Temple is simply among Bali not to be missed icons. The onshore site is dotted with smaller shrines alongside visitors leisure facilities that comprise restaurants, shops and a cultural park presenting regular dance performances.

Imade was a great tour guide, willing to answer all my questions, using a translator to be clearer if he needed to. Very helpful and generous. The tour was great, giving a taste of what Bali has to offer. My favourite was feeding the fish Ulun Danu temple and dipping my feet in the hot springs.
We had the best time with Ayu. She was very professional yet it felt like we knew each other. Such great service. Very friendly. We learned a lot through conversation. She was very flexible with our plans also we never felt uncomfortable. Best tour. Saw a lot even stopped at a waterfall Cafe. We were picked up on time from our hotel and driven to the sights by a guide that barely spoke to us at all. On a trip like this we would have thought we would be learning about the sights we were going to see and the things we saw along the way but unfortunately that was not the case. It made for a very awkward atmosphere on the 10 plus hours together. When we asked questions the answers were very brief and at times we felt shut down. When we were dropped off at the various sights he just pointed us in the direction we had to go and we had to make the rest up ourselves. We missed Handaras gate because the wait would have been 1 hour to get in. Considering what we paid I would have thought that would have all been pre booked. Lunch over the rice fields was nice but very late at around 2 pm. The temple visits were lovely and the beautiful parts of Bali we really liked. The driver had amazing driving skills on the crazy Bali streets. Overall a very exhausting day driving very long distances. If our driver would have been friendlier and was more informative the long distances might have been more interesting and fun.

Regarding Handara Gate, we apologize for the missed opportunity. While we always try to plan efficiently, wait times at this specific location can fluctuate wildly and unexpectedly. In cases where the wait exceeds an hour, our guides sometimes have to make on-the-spot judgment calls to ensure the rest of the itinerary isn't severely delayed—especially on already long-distance routes. However, we realize we should have communicated this better and will look into how we can pre-book or better manage this for future guests. We also apologize that lunch was served later than expected, which likely added to your exhaustion. We truly value your honest feedback as it helps us improve our training and itineraries. We hope the beautiful parts of Bali you mentioned will remain the highlight of your trip, and we would love the chance to provide you with a much better experience in the future.
We had a wonderful experience on the best of Bali Tour with our driver, Pande. I was traveling with my mother and my two young children (3 and 5 years old), and he made the entire day enjoyable and stress-free. Pande was punctual, friendly, patient, and very accommodating to our family’s needs. He gave us plenty of time at each stop and never made us feel rushed. His calm and helpful attitude made traveling with two small children so much easier. He also shared interesting information about Bali and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day.
