Well worthwhile to have a private guide to show us through the islands Cleminite was a delightful guide with lots of information to share Allow an extra hour to enjoy a good lunch
What an absolutely unforgettable experience! Our private Venetian motorboat excursion to Murano and Burano was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we stepped aboard, the scenic ride through the Venetian Lagoon was breathtaking. Our guide was exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history and culture of Venice, making every moment engaging and memorable. The glass-blowing demonstration in Murano was fascinating. Watching master artisans transform molten glass into beautiful works of art with such precision and skill was truly incredible. Burano was simply magical. The vibrant, colorful homes lining the canals created the most picturesque setting, and every street felt like a postcard. We loved wandering through the charming island, taking in its beauty and unique character. If you’re visiting Venice, I can’t recommend this private excursion enough. The personalized experience, stunning scenery, rich history, and unforgettable stops made for a perfect day. Five stars all around!
Private Boat experience with pickup from our hotel to glass factory in Murano and Lunch at Burano. Walking tour
We loved the private guide and boat for just our family. We all enjoyed the glassmaking demonstration along with the beautiful gallery of glass pieces. A fun afternoon for all. Highly recommended!
This was a fabulous trip to Murano and Burano, we had Gianluca as our guide and he was knowledgeable about both islands. We saw a glass maker create a turtle and watch the steps involved in glassmaking. Then we went to burano for a wonderful lunch at a small out of the way restaurant that was delicious! Wonderful afternoon on both islands highly recommend GianLuca!
Motor boat was clean and comfortable and our guide was lovely - knew a great deal about Venice, its buildings and history,
Selena is what made this tour exceptional. As a Venetian, she shared fascinating local history and insights that made every stop more meaningful. She was warm, organized, and engaging, and truly elevated the entire experience. We also had a delicious lunch in Burano at Trexento Pasta, which was one of the highlights of the day. The only downside was the Murano glass showroom. It felt very sales-focused, and many of the pieces were extremely expensive. We later discovered on our own that not everything in the store was made in-house in Murano, and no one mentioned that during our visit. Aside from that, it was an excellent tour that we would definitely recommend, especially with Selena as your guide.
Overall the factory demo was amazing. A little pressure to buy but I was planning on it. Some items are not made there. Be sure to ask if you like something that it is something made at their factory. They were willing to make deals for shipping goods for you. I was a little upset when I saw the exact set I purchased there in Venice for 1/3 the price. I couldn’t tell the difference but I know there are fakes out there. I wanted unique and after seeing it elsewhere I felt very common. I can only hope that the factory is telling the truth that all items for sale are made there. I read elsewhere that all shops sell goods manufactured by other factories also. I would hope they would represent that clearly. Overall the tour was lovely but count the buying process for a good portion of it. The Colleoni master artists were spectacular and all of the people were very helpful. Our tour guide could have volunteered more information on the rest of the tour. They did do Burano also which was quite beautiful but we did not get lace making demonstrations or brought to where the cookies are made.
We had an amazing time with our guide visiting the island of Murano and Burano. Saw a glass making experience and then had a great lunch in burano. Rachel our guide was the best!
Definitely request Eleonora for your tour guide! She was amazing! My husband and I did a private tour with Eleonora. She met us at our hotel lobby and we departed in a private water taxi. She was sooooo informative about Venice as well as the surrounding islands. We learned so much and were so grateful for all of the information. Our private tour of a glass factory was captivating, despite being quite hot (heat wave in June). Burano was beautiful too. It was nice to have a private water taxi take us around for the tour. We highly recommend doing this tour, especially with Eleonora, as you will learn way more about Venice and the islands versus doing any other type of tour while in Venice!
