This was our first visit to Amsterdam and my first trip abroad since my PD diagnosis, so I wanted to get some local help to ensure both I and my partner got the most out of our short trip I chose Bespoke Amsterdam Experiences as they offered all the activities we were interested in - food, tulips, windmills and boats It was very easy to make contact with them to ask questions - especially about my mobility issues, and how this could be accommodated in the activities we were interested in. After the first contact, we had a dedicated person who handled all follow-up questions and bookings before and throughout our trip, which was very comforting and at no time was there any confusion or problem with language nuances On our first full day, we booked a private Dutch food tour. Despite the rain, our guide Kayleigh was excellent. She had been fully briefed about my condition and was always aware of my needs, whilst making sure my partner did not miss out on anything We got to try new food and drink along with the local knowledge on where best to find this. For anyone also interested in knowing more about the places they visit, we also got a very detailed and knowledgeable history of the location and food/drink we experienced Bespoke Amsterdam Experiences not only listened to my upfront concerns and needs, but they also went out of their way to adapt the experience around these and at no time did I feel awkward or uncomfortable After the trip, we took away an amazing list of restaurants, bars and food to try during our stay
Thank you for sharing your personal story. We're always there for you in Amsterdam Experiences.
Chris, our tour guide, was amazing. We got so much more than a food tour! We ate so many delicious and interesting foods and learned the history and significance of many of them. I would definitely recommend him. Well worth it. Note: ask Viator to put you in touch with your guide prior to setting out for your meeting place so you can verify with the actual guide as to exactly where to meet. Chris went out of his way for us and showed us a great time!
Thank you for your kind words, we will let Chris know. You may also enjoy the City Highlights tour.
This is a must do tour for anyone wanting a food tour mixed with a ton of culture and history along the way. Our guide drove the primary discussion but we were able to steer conversations to what we wanted to know and she had a ton of expertise on all of it. Every food place and item along the way felt well timed and all were delicious. I highly suggest this tour, but prepare for rain or shine as it truly is a lot of walking outdoors.
Thanks for these nice words and the detailed feedback! Would love to see you again :)
Guide very good. took plenty of breaks and provided good information for whats going on in Amsterdam today. Apple pie was great.
Thank you so much, Ronald!
Stefan did a great job! He explained the history as well as the food of the Jordaan district. He was friendly and made us all feel welcome.
Our guide this time was Louke (Lucca). She was amazing from the get go and very lively. You can tell they do the research before bringing guests on tours. Money is well worth it with all of the food included. Be sure to bring an empty stomach
Thank you. You are most welcome at one of our other tours next time you visit Amsterdam.
Louke was our guide and she was fun and shared her love of Amsterdam and the food with us. I would recommend this tour
Hope to meet again in another tour. Thank you, Naomi!
We were 3 people for this tasty excursion. Many thanks to Violeta who makes us discover the best places to taste the Dutch specialties of Amsterdam. A beautiful break and a quality private excursion and a top organization. I highly recommend it. See you later.
Merci Kate! :-)
We had booked this tour for our Amsterdam trip and were very excited for it. I love doing food tours when I go to new cities. My friend and I were around the corner from the meeting place. We left some extra time to make sure we arrived in time. Due to a large amount of construction on the road by the meeting point we had to go a very long way around. This caused us to be 2 minutes late. The tour had already left apparently. We tried contacting them with no reply. Because my friend’s friend knew the owner he contacted them and only through that did we find out that they had left they wouldn’t let us catch up even though we were a few minutes behind. I have been on food tours before where myself or others are late they call you and let you know where they’ll be and are very helpful. This was not the case at all. I would never book anything with this company again and wouldn’t suggest anyone else do either.
Sorry to hear about your negative experience :-(, but we think you didn't book with us. In our systems we don't see a booking from you and we also didn't miss anyone in April.
Great tour with Louke. Stopped at a number of Places to enjoy what Amsterdam has to offer. Well worth the time and cost.
Thanks! We would love to see you again
