Visit the emerging hotspot attraction-Guangdong Romance Park, a big theme park featuring fruitful local Cantonese history and culture. You can immerse yourself in ancient Cantonese style architecture atmosphere and interact with dedicated actors dressed up in traditional Chinese costume, take photo with Ip-man and Bruce Lee bronze statue and practise Kung-Fu with the "Wooden Man" stick, visit "Haunted House" with ghost NPC context, have fun at outdoor playground for rope net tunnel climbing and water floating bridges, and so on. And the wonderful highlight of it, watch and enjoy the fascinating 1-hour grand stage live show for "Guangzhou Eternal Love"-a must-see show in life time. And if you opt for the medium or premium tour package, then after visiting Guangdong Romance Park, you will be transfered to visit the second site-Xiqiao Mountain nearby, it's a top level national 5A scenery with beautiful and tranquil landscape, a natural wonderland formed from an ancient volcanic crater on the mountain.
Take cable car ride to go up the Xiqiao Mountain and you will reach the Sky Lake scenic area, which was formed upon an ancient volcanic crater hunderds of million years ago, now with rain water accumulation as a large clean reservoir on top of the mountain. You can stroll and explore the lush green path surrounding the lake for fun and relax, observe unique subtropical forest trees and fish. And this is the place where the traditional Chinese martial art Kung-Fu and lion dancing is performed, you can sit down and watch the fantastic half an hour show by professional teenagers from martial school institution. As the highlight of Southern China culture, the lion dance is performed by two actors one in front and one at the back, imitating a vivid lion which would jump and climb on separated independent wood sticks in the air displaying agile and skillful movement. Had a great 8 hours of walking tour with our guide Damon who brought us to see different places such as 黄飞鸿纪念馆Wong Fei-Hung Memorial Hall, 西樵山 Xiqiao mountain to see the lion dance and wushu performance, 宝峰寺 Baofeng temple to see the majestic Guanyin statue as well as Guangdong Romance Park to watch the Eternal Love show which was truly the highlight of the tour. We enjoyed having our own private tour guide and driver to bring us around which means the whole tour is free and easy and fully customised to our preferences and itinerary (extremely important if you don’t like to follow tour group’s rigid schedule). Would love to come back to Foshan again and book another tour with Damon to explore the other beautiful parts of Foshan.
