Private Day Tour to Kubuqi Desert from Hohhot with Pick Up
Description
Kubuqi Desert is the 7th biggest desert in China. This private day tour will let you start from Hohhot, then drive to the west for about 300km to the Night Singing Sand Area in the center of Kubuqi Desert. Enjoy the fun in the desert then. You can select the tour with guide or without guide. Please note the driver spe aks only Chinese when you select the tour without guide, but the driver can use cell phone to translate when it is necessary. Pickup from your centrally located Hohhot hotel is at 8am. Note, this is a long day tour.

At 8am, you will be picked up from your centrally located Hohhot hotel, then take 3.5-hour car ride to the Kubuqi Desert(Night Singing Sand Area). Kubuqi Desert is the 7th biggest desert in China. When you arrive Night Singing Sand Area, you will enjoy the fun time here, walk on the sand, or take camel-riding etc. Please note it is very hot in July and August here, and you need to drink more water. In the afternoon, you will take the car back to your Hohhot hotel where the wonderful day tour concludes.

I used service from Chaolu tour guide in Hohhot , program 2 days 1 night to Xilamuren grassland and Kubuqi desert. It was amazing trip for us ,horse riding , comfortable and beautiful yurts, funny activities as archery in grassland and camels riding, zip line, ATV and sand sliding in desert. Travel another 1 day in city to visit Dazhaosi ,Jaojun tomb and 5 pagodas. We appreciated our guide, Mr.Chaolu so much. He was so kind ,helped us everything while we were traveling. I knew his name from review in Tripadvisor and tried to search how I contacted him. Finally I found him at Synotrip(guide in Hohhot) and chat with him via WhatsApp later. I confirm he is the best guide who will make trip in inner Mongolia very easy!!!

Ivy is a great guide and the driver is also great especially compared to all the other drivers I have had in China. The ride was smooth and I got a good nap both ways. The desert is fantastic, the issue being the lack of activities, or more the fact that every activity needs someone to do it for you. Ride a camel, someone leads, drive a 4 wheel bike, you're not driving you're sitting on it while someone else drives. Not what I wanted of a visit to the desert, I was looking forward to driving a bike around the sand dunes. Still worth the visit, but only spent probably less than an hour for 8 hours of driving.
