Private Day Tour from Colombo to Sigiriya, Dambulla & Pidurangala

Description
Pidurangala is a massive rock formation located a few kilometers north of Sigiriya in Sri Lanka. It has an interesting history closely related to that of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climbing to the top of Pidurangala Rock is more strenuous than climbing Sigiriya. If you are fit and adventurous it is a climb worth making. It will take you about two hours. There is far less to see on this site than Sigiriya

Nice driver very professional. On time and provided a good drive to the northern part of the country from Colombo. Would recommend.
My driver was on time which was nice. It’s a long drive but a good way to see the countryside. The driver was quiet & answered questions if asked, however this wasn’t his job - he worked in a technical job full time. I gather he was earning some extra cash, that’s ok but you are therefore not a tour guide. The sites were amazing, monsoon rain limited the experience. You need to be prepared for the steps / stairs which are significant. I was unaware it was my responsibility to pay for the drivers drinks when we stopped. Yes I got given two bottles of water, but I’d taken my own. The driver made & received multiple phone calls some work related as I could see titles & company names. The car was comfortable if a bit chilly, however as darkness fell in monsoonal rain it was obvious the car had no low beam headlights. It was a scary drive home & a huge challenge for the driver who did an amazing job. I have no fault with the driver, he was not a guide. Not of caution; at Sigiriya be careful of the site experience workers - whilst helpful it soon became aware I was being guided with a big expectation of money. At the end of the walk I was soaked to the skin & didn’t want hassle so gave some money.
A tour you must have when in srilanka. This was our first tour in srilanka and had so many fun and beautiful things here.Once again thank you very much for great itinerary.
Wonderful trip and highly recommend for any one who wish to see the sigiriya and sunset from the pidurangala rock.
