Itinerary
You depart early from Bangkok to Damnoen Saduak. As you get close to the floating market, we park the minibus and take a longtail boat for the final stretch. From your boat, you’ll see how the lush green oasis where you boarded gradually transforms into a lively market. Upon arrival at the market, we disembark. Damnoen Saduak Floating Market: At this floating market, you’ll find yourself in a different world. With great skill, the Thai navigate their boats filled with all kinds of goods. Some boats even serve freshly prepared noodles—these so-called “boat noodles” are a true delicacy. Be sure to try the delicious sweet yellow mango as well! Stroll around as lively bargaining takes place all around you to reach the right price. Optionally, you can take a boat ride through the market to see the bustling activity on the water up close.
The Maeklong Railway Market: This unique market is located right next to Maeklong train station and the river of the same name. Each day, vendors display their goods along—and even directly on—the railway tracks. When a train approaches, they must quickly pack up their items to keep them safe. Once the train has passed, they cheerfully set everything back up again, as if no train had come through at all.
After the visits, we will enjoy a delicious Thai meal at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will proceed back to your hotel in Bangkok.

Our private tour guide, Pattee, was AMAZING!!!! She has curated the perfect experience for her guests & delivers that experience with with perfection! From each of the markets to lunch & the bonus banana farm, it was just lovely & so fun!!!! Thank you for an experience my sister & I will never forget!
“Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We will share this with the team to let them know to keep up the amazing work.”
Had a wonderful experience, my tourguide was very informative and cordial. Would highly reccomend this tour as it was an unique experience. Loved it!!!
All of it was memorable. Never forget riding the elephant nor the floating market. The tour guide was excellent
Neera is excellent guide. We had a lots of fun. I also felt very protected and taken care off. We had a great time together. I definitely suggest this excursion for people who like markets.
Does not really matter what boat you hire because it's a must do either way. Everything is for sale and bargaining always fun. Lots of color and action everywhere. Great pictures and great for the entire family.
Tour was great, Richard our tour guide was professional, funny, informative and so accommodating. We were picked up from our hotel on time in a very nice car, taken to the floating market, then to the train market, had lunch at the train market, then driven back to our hotel. Really enjoyed, might just suggest a different place for lunch, as the food was only okay. Highly recommend!
We booked online with Viator and their local partner Amazing Asia Tours booking ref.: BR-753953946. When booking online on Viator I saw start time of 8.30 am so I paid for this tour as we wake up late on holidays. Again to double confirm start time our hotel concierge called the local agent's office 2 days in advance and fixed start time at 8.30 am, which was confirmed by the local agent's office. But our tour guide came at 7.30 and we came down at 8.35 she had an argument with us and was rude with me. At the train market we asked her to give her phone number in case we got separated, but she refused to give her phone number even after repeated requests. I don't understand how a tour guide can have such a bad attitude. Don't tour company rules require their guides to share her number so that if visitors get separated, they can call the guide to rejoin? But her manager said it was her personal phone and she can decide to share or refuse. But I couldn't see the rationale in such a policy as what would a guide fear from an overseas family (my wife was with me) flying home after 2 days, and we were polite and decent. Then after finishing from train market, in the vehicle it was very hot and I asked her to increase cooling. She refused saying it will take time to cool and if cooling is increased later it will get cold. I said she should increase cooling now as it is very hot and later she can change temperature back to "medium" from "high". But she refused and quarreled with me. I had to stretch forward and increase AC to high myself. She was unfriendly and said "you _________ are not nice and want your way"...and this in response to a request to alter air-conditioning as the vehicle was hot. This is clearly a racist remark, and this lady could have got into trouble if she were in the US as racism is a crime. I was shocked that a tour guide could be rude, racist, unfriendly, arrogant, and have a negative attitude with her tourist clients. Tourism is a service industry, and first principle is to make tourists comfortable and happy.
Dear Nick, Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I am glad that you enjoyed visiting the attractions. We investigated this case and called the concierge from your hotel. We have the call in our logs and the concierge informed us that he called to simply reconfirm the tour without requesting any changes. The standard pick up time, and we have only 1 pickup time on this tour, is 7.30am. This is clearly stated on your tour voucher. We have already been over this thoroughly through emails so i am perplexed you are going this far, advertising falsely, to be in the right. Simply open the tour page again and you will see starting time is 7.30am. So this means you showed up over an hour late for a tour pick up, without notice, on a tour that does not have a flexible pick up time. Our guides are not required to have a work number for clients and they definitely do not have to give their private number out if they feel uncomfortable giving it. We have a 24hr hotline that you can reach in case you get seperated from our guide. All our vehicles are equipped with A/C and the vehicle takes a while to cool down after one of the stops. Both guide and driver reassured me that no racist remarks were made. I wish you a good day and hope we can welcome you back in Thailand on your next holidays. Kind regards Kris Bosman
The tour was good. Our guide took us the the floating market explained how it all started. He also gave us the option to see the elephant and lion sanctuary. We decided to go and took a picture with a tiger. We made it to the train market in time for the train to come thru. The tours were good but we were never given water or a snack through out the tour. When we got lunch, drinks weren't included so we had to by them. Overall we got to see what we wanted to see but we didn't get any of the extra perks, food and snack, we were suppose to get for booking the private tour.
Dear elliss639, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review. I am glad that overall you enjoyed the tour. The negative parts of your review give us invaluable information to improve our services. I could not find out from your Trip Advisor user name on what name you booked the tour and what date you did it. Would you please be so kind to email me the details to info@amazingasiatours.com so i can investigate and make sure this does not happen again. Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Kris Bosman
Definitely recommend! Jimmy was an awesome guide and gave us a local's view into the train market and the floating market. He likes durian and it was the first time I tried it (yuck! haha). The pick up and ride in the van was very comfortable. There was good communication with the tour company.
Really unique! Very very crazy and as much as they explain to you it doesn't make sense... but really when you have to try to get into a gap between fish and fruits so you don't step on the train it's crazy! Colors and smells are unmatched
Dear Maria Laura N, Thank you for taking your time to leave this review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the market as much as you did. I wish you a fantastic holidays in Thailand. Kind regards, Kris Bosman
