Itinerary
Perched atop a dramatic cliff overlooking the sea, Pointe du Hoc was one of the most heroic sites of the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944. It was here that American Rangers scaled the cliffs under enemy fire to neutralize German artillery positions. Today, the site, remaining almost untouched, offers a striking landscape of craters and bunkers, a poignant testament to the fierce fighting. The view of the English Channel and the surrounding cliffs makes it a place that is both moving and magnificent.
Nicknamed “Bloody Omaha,” this vast golden sand beach was the scene of some of the most intense fighting of the D-Day landings. Walking along this peaceful beach, it's hard to imagine the courage of the thousands of American soldiers who landed here under heavy fire. Monuments and museums pay tribute to their bravery, while the tranquil horizon invites contemplation. An iconic place where history and emotion intertwine with the natural beauty of the Normandy coastline. This will also be an opportunity, if you wish, to have lunch (I know each restaurant I suggest).
Overlooking Omaha Beach, this majestic cemetery holds the graves of nearly 10,000 American soldiers who fell for freedom. The perfect alignments of white crosses and Stars of David create an atmosphere of peace and profound respect. The memorial, chapel, and museum dignifiedly recount the sacrifice of these men. Between the sea and the cliffs, this place of remembrance offers a moment of silence and gratitude in the face of history.
Located between Omaha and Gold Beach, the Longues-sur-Mer gun batteries are one of the few remaining intact sections of the Atlantic Wall. The site, a listed historical monument, still houses its impressive original cannons, standing proudly facing the sea. Exploring the bunkers, one can imagine the German defensive power and the stakes of the D-Day landings. A fascinating place where nature and history converge for an immersive and authentic experience.
Arromanches was the site of a unique technological feat: the construction of the artificial harbor "Mulberry," vital for supplying Allied troops. Even today, the remains of this harbor are visible at low tide, a reminder of the ingenuity and determination of the Allies. The D-Day Landing Museum and the spectacular views from the cliffs recount this logistical achievement that changed the course of the war.
The first bridge liberated on June 6, 1944, Pegasus Bridge marked the beginning of the liberation of France. British paratroopers of the 6th Airborne Division carried out a remarkably precise nighttime assault here. The bridge, faithfully restored, and the adjoining museum recount this heroic mission. Surrounded by the canal and the famous "Café Gondrée," the first house liberated in France, the site still resonates with the spirit of courage and Allied brotherhood.

The customer service was excellent. Somehow we were able to make a last minute booking online even tho there was no availability. We were immediately contacted and despite the late hour they were able to accommodate us and found a driver. The driver was excellent and we are so thankful for the experience.
We had the pleasure of spending a full day with Sebastien Breiner of Normandy Cab & Tours on a private tour of the Normandy WWII sites, including Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, and many other meaningful historic locations. Sebastien is an exceptional guide; professional, cordial, highly knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. He provided truly VIP-level service throughout the day and shared the history of these important sites with great insight and respect. He ensured that every aspect of our tour was perfect, and thanks to Sebastien, it truly was an unforgettable experience.
Sebastian is the best. He helped us organise this bespoke tour with only two days notice. He was exceptional from beginning to end. He added little unexpected extras and was very accomodating to our requirements. Cannot recommend him too highly
Excellent tour! Sebastian was very easy to coordinate with, was extremely accommodating, and very knowledgeable. It was a perfect day. He knew the best spots to see the sights and even showed us a few gems that I didn't expect. He even helped me make a little video in English and French for my nieces and nephews which they loved. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
I would rate the tour a 5 on 5 Sebastian was an outstanding driver and tour guide from start to finish. He picked us up from the train station and seamlessly handled our transfer to the hotel — already making us feel in good hands. The first full day he took us on an all-day D-Day tour of Normandy that was truly memorable. His deep knowledge of the history was remarkable — he answered every question thoughtfully and brought the sites to life in a way that a self-guided visit simply couldn’t. Our second day was devoted to the breathtaking Mont Saint-Michel. It was a perfect day, and we loved walking around the island and visiting the abbey. Sebastian made the whole experience effortless and enjoyable. What set Sebastian apart was his genuine passion for the region — its history, its landmarks, and making sure his guests had an unforgettable experience. If you are planning a visit to Normandy or Mont Saint-Michel, look no further — Sebastian comes with our highest recommendation.
This was an incredible tour - to go back in time to learn about and visit the site of Normandy. Sebastian was fantastic. He accommodated us at the last minute when our original plans fell apart. He provided us with an exceptional ride and visit to Normandy. His depth of knowledge was incredible - a living encyclopedia of the history of Normandy. A fantastic day, with a wise historian! I highly recommend Sebastian!
Our day with Sebastian was incredible. First of all, he was SOOOOOO accommodating. We met him in Caen and he took us to all the D Day sites that we (not he) wanted. He had suggestions but followed our requests. We got to decide how long we were at each site. At the end, he calculated that we had enough extra time to do a final stop before he dropped us off. His tour was full of historical knowledge. He took us to a great little restaurant because we wanted to eat quickly and see more sites. His van was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I cannot recommend this tour, and Sebastian highly enough!
Sebastian was fantastic. We had a wonderful day with him on our D-Day tour in Normandy. He is very knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, and has a genuine passion for the history, which made everything much more meaningful. What I appreciated most was that he took us to some incredible spots that many of the larger tours seemed to miss, so we were able to experience places without the crowds. It made the day feel much more personal and special. Walking those beaches and sites with someone who could explain the history so well was truly humbling and something I will never forget. I highly recommend Sebastian if you want a thoughtful, informative, and memorable Normandy experience.
I am so glad I found this tour. Sebastian was amazing. He suggested we arrive the night before the tour and stay in the most fantastic fairytale like Little town. He even suggested accommodations for that night. We were picked up at the airport and driven directly to our hotel three hours away near Normandy. We were then picked up the next morning and taken to the Tour. Sebastian was very knowledgeable about every part of this D-Day experience. His knowledge was fascinating. We saw Omaha beach, the American cemetery Pointe du Hoc, we saw old bunkers up close and explored so much more! If you ar considering s trip to Normandy this is absolutely the tour you should book!!!
Very good driver with very good English. Very nice Mercedes van- me and my family used Sabastion for an all day tour through Normandy including Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery and many other places. It was the nicest time! Highly recommended. Sabastion also was our private driver as we needed him. Highly recommended!
Thank you very much for your kind words. It was truly a pleasure to spend several days with you and to show you historical sites of WWII and to show you our beautiful region. I am delighted to know that you enjoyed our beautiful region and your experience with me. Your recommendation means a great deal to me, and I sincerely hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future.
