My husband and I booked a private tour with a local from Bangkok, Ton. He was able to guide us to great street vendors while also giving us some history on temples and areas around Chinatown. He was wonderful to be around, shared conversations and laughs while eating amazing food in Bangkok. I'd recommend booking this service if you like to eat great Thai food with a local supporting and assisting you throughout the tour! 100% satisfaction on food and tour guide!
Excellent tour with Piya. She met us at a local fresh market and taught us about the area, culture and foods. She made arrangements for us to sample several local Thai dishes that were delicious! We enjoyed learning about the country as Piya pleasantly explained it to us as we walked throughout the market and sampled the various foods. At the end she sat with us for a delicious cup of coffee and we shared mango rice as a dessert. All was lovely AND yummy.
We booked this private tour with Zarut who was an excellent host. He took us to a number of incredible street food places that you would never find on your own. He was friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. I would recommend this tour very much.

Kim is an energetic and enthusiastic foodie, who genuinely enjoyed sharing his culinary insights with us. Kim connected well with our kids and us parents alike. The food tour took us across the entire market, then ended in china town with an exquisite tea tasting experience.
We took a 3 hour, 5 tastings food tour and Jojo is everything you would want in a tour guide! She was very accommodating to our limited time schedule (even picked us up in our hotel), selected places and food items that matched our dietary needs and gave us the opportunity to try things we would not have known to eat on our own. We went to Chinatown and experienced local Thai and Chinese influenced street foods, beverages and sweets. We walked through many small neighborhoods and she explained the history and culture. It was a very active and delicious afternoon. Jojo is friendly and knowledgeable and so much fun to be with. We would definitely recommend her!!
We just finished our food tour with With Locals, guided by the incredible Sam – and it was beyond AMAZING! We were blown away right from the very first food stall he took us to. It was a hidden gem: a tiny local restaurant with no English menu and no English-speaking staff – we would’ve had no idea what to order on our own. But Sam took care of everything. He ordered a variety of dishes and explained every bite in detail – not just the flavors, but the cultural stories behind them. From there, each stop just kept getting better. Sam truly set the bar high from the start and kept delivering one amazing experience after another. After sampling several delicious local dishes, he took us to Or Tor Kor Market using Tuktuk! 😊 He guided us through the market, sharing fascinating insights along the way. We eventually sat down, and Sam ordered several incredible dishes for us to try. The mango sticky rice here was on another level – so different from what we’ve had in Melbourne. Every dish was a highlight, and Sam himself made the experience unforgettable. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, speaks fluent English, and was fantastic with our kids. Today’s experience was truly beyond words. We’re so grateful to Sam and With Locals for this unforgettable tour. 100% recommended!
Apicha took us on a food tasting tour of the Chinatown market and was an excellent guide! He not only guided us to safe vendors, he also explained a lot about the Thai culture. We finished with a dinner in a very local restaurant which was amazing and definitely not something we could have found on our own. I only wish I had a bigger stomach!!
