It’s conveniently located on Sagárnaga Street, close to a host of tourist hotspots, so you have no excuse. You'll be able to visit the church and get a lot of explanation.
Away from the tumults of La Paz’s urban life, the valley of the moon is not a real valley, but a whole of strange geological formations, fairies, or snakes’ chimneys, leading to special shapes.
The La Paz Cable Car in Bolivia is the world’s first example of cable cars being used as a primary transport network rather than connecting to a more extensive network of subways or trains. You will visit 5 different lines of the cable car with the best bird fly views and lots of information.
El Alto is a city and municipality of Bolivia located in the Murillo Province of the department of La Paz, west of the country on the plateau. In terms of population, El Alto is the most populous city in the department and the second largest city in Bolivia. Also called, the Aymara capital, because it is inhabited basically by Aymara people.
Near the Orange, Cable car station is Jaen street, one of the best-preserved colonial streets in La Paz. While walking through you can look back in time on how the buildings of La Paz once were. Within the street, the visitor will find some of the most important museums of the city.
La Paz’s Plaza Murillo is a pigeon-filled public square steeped in history, conquest, conflict, and tragedy. Surrounded by imposing buildings such as the Presidential Palace, the La Paz Cathedral, and the National Congress of Bolivia.
Linares between Sagarnaga and Santa Cruz in, it’s impossible to miss the Witches’ Market of La Paz, Bolivia, which is found right in a lively tourist area. This is an excellent well structured tour of the best of La Paz. Met by driver and gracious English speaking host the tour is neither too short or long at about 5 hours. Great itinerary and fully recommended.
Milena was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, helpful and energetic. Moon Valley was definitely a must-see and we enjoyed the cable cars. It might have been nice to spend more time in El Alto but I don’t feel like we missed out not doing so. Recommend bringing snacks and layers; Moon Valley was warmer than walking around La Paz. You will need to reapply sunscreen if you are white and from sea level.
Perfect, the guide had answers to all my questions and explained well; she speaks English very well.
Great tour with a great guide! Was impressed with the quality and knowledge. Thank you for letting me know about the blockades as well - got out in time a few minutes before the streets were blocked on my way to the airport.
Great half day tour to see some cool sites and get printed to the city!
Juan was excellent confirming the details the day before and changing the pick up location to my hotel. My guide Milena was fantastic to spend the morning with, very knowledgeable about the places we saw and the city in general
We really enjoyed our tour with John. He had so much interesting knowledge about all the places we visited and was very pleasant and friendly person to spend half a day in La Paz with
Absolutely loved this tour. Milena was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience feel personal even as a solo traveller. The cable car ride was a real highlight and not to be missed. Moon Valley and the city tour rounded it out perfectly. Nothing to fault, would highly recommend to anyone visiting!
It was a great little tour. You got to see a lot of La Paz in a short amount of time. The guide Roxanna was very knowledgeable.
We did this private tour as a couple in March 2026 and it was an excellent way to explore La Paz. We were picked up in a private car by our guide, Ronaldo, who was fantastic - very friendly, spoke good English, and had plenty of knowledge to share throughout the tour. The itinerary was well thought out. We started at Moon Valley, then took the cable car into the centre, followed by a walking tour covering key sights including Jaén Street and Murillo Square, finishing at the Witches’ Market, which was a great place to continue exploring independently. The tour perfectly covers the main highlights of La Paz and is ideal if you’re short on time or want a well-structured introduction to the city. Highly recommended.
