Located at the foot of the San Cristoforo hill, right under the Capuchins, the Aurora tower ideally divides the new part of Monterosso with the old village.
Because its position, towering over San Cristoforo Hill, where the ancient castle originated the hamlet, it is visible from all Cinque Terre. It is a strong touristic attraction also due to the high artistic and historical value
Also known as the oratory of Santa Maria di Porto Salvo, the building was built in the 17th century in Baroque style. Characterized by the two-tone façade plastered with black and white stripes
The church of San Giovanni Battista was built between the mid-13th century and the beginning of the 14th. It is a splendid example of Ligurian Gothic.

It owes its name to the color of the robe used by the brothers during the processions. As in Monterosso, at least two brotherhoods were usually formed in each town, as evidenced by the oratory of the Confraternity of the Blacks.

We booked this tour through Viator! We had a very nice experience! Our tour guide was very informative. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant we visited Enoteca was very good and so was the wine! A great experience!
Exploring the beautiful Cinque Terre and enjoying great wine is a perfect combination! We're thrilled you had a very nice experience on your Cinque Terre Walking Tour with Food and Wine Tastings. It is wonderful that your friendly guide was so informative and knowledgeable. Sharing a delicious stop at the Enoteca to taste traditional local flavors is our joy. Grazie!
Tour guide Sonia was wonderful but the tour was way overpriced. Promoted as a food tour but was a wine tasting of 5 wines and focaccia and bruschetta bread with pesto and tomatoes.
Sarah pick the worst restaurants This restaurant should be blocked. The woman was eating food off peoples plates. She said she was the owner.
Sara was fantastic… very knowledgeable and charismatic! She provided a wonderful tour with unique insights about Monterosso and its past and present and capped off the tour with a wonderful wine tasting experience, and even better conversation! And as a bonus followed up with a GREAT dining recommendation! HIGHLY recommend!!!
We took to Montenosso from the spezzia and visited 3 villages out of 5 To avoid corniglia too difficult to reach on foot
We had a great time! Amanda and Alberto were a great team! We loved the views of the Cinque Terre from the water, and the swimming was such a nice experience! Definitely would recommend.
