Savor Cheese & Chives Hot Little Biscuits, She-Crab Soup, and famous Shrimp & Grits while walking past St. Philip’s Church, the Dock Street Theatre, and the notorious Pirate House. Majestically overlooking East Bay Street and the harbor, the United States Custom House is one of the most striking buildings in Charleston. It is an outstanding example of a public building and reflects the time when Charleston was one of the country's busiest port cities.
You'll take a stroll through the Historic Charleston City Market and learn how the African slave trade introduced iconic ingredients such as benne seeds and collard greens to the local diet.
Charleston's Dock Street Theatre was the first theater building designed solely for theatrical performances in America. Its rich history reflects the theatrical tradition and cultural history of Charleston and America from the 1700s through the millennium.

Excellent, Robin was great and made the tour a special event
We had a group of four and another couple joined. We had an amazing time. Perry was amazing. He was very accommodating and acknowledged everyone's needs. He's very engaging and a great story teller. The food was amazing and we left full and satisfied. Highly recommend this option for anyone in town.

Great experience. Nathan was very knowledgeable & provided great history about each dish & Charleston in general. Only thing I might suggest is providing a little sack to take the cookies to go, as it was a bit much to eat 6 cookies in a row.
