What made this worth it was having our guide entirely to ourselves.😮In Derinkuyu he slowed down at the ventilation shafts and explained exactly how ancient engineers moved air through eight levels of solid rock, something I doubt you’d catch in a rushed group tour. Atreus Travel clearly picks guides who actually love this subject.🦾
I fell sick during my trip to Cappadocia. I had plans to explore so many places, but that didn’t quite work out. I ended up spending most of my time resting at the hotel. The tour was fantastic. Our guide, Verdat, was very knowledgeable and shared knowledge about the reign both while heading to the caves and on the way back. He was friendly and interesting. He has deep knowledge about the reign and history which we both really enjoyed. He also had impeccable English which makes a big difference when he's conveying history.
