What glass of wine?

Our guide, Camilla, was a very perky and informed transplant from Colombia/Canada. She knew her history and even emailed us a list of recommendations when the tour was over. The reason for only four stars is that, halfway through, she said we could take a break and get a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We didn’t want anything since we had a big breakfast, but there was no indication that the wine was included in the tour. So, for 20 min., we sat and waited on one side of the plaza while she sat on the other. It didn’t seem to us that she should have needed a break since the tour wasn’t that long. And it seems she should have offered to pay for our wine (or coffee) if it was included. All in all, probably not worth the price.

Operator response

Dear Barbara McKenzie, Thank you for your feedback. There does appear to have been some misunderstanding regarding the tour and what was included. The glass of wine is included as part of the experience at the designated stop, and this is clearly communicated in advance to all participants. We also sent a message ahead of the tour with the relevant details and instructions for the day, including confirmation of what is included, but we did not receive a response. Perhaps you did not give us the correct number upon booking and unfortunately there is not much we can do about that. We’re sorry for any confusion you experienced today, particularly as it was a very hot day, which can sometimes make things feel less clear in the moment. The tour value is exceptional for a private tour hour tour with a glass of wine included, thank you. We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments, and we hope you still enjoyed parts of the experience. Kind regards, Big Rig Travels

Overview of the history and understanding it’s rich history.

Victor, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of Bordeaux, it’s wine origin, architecture, 300 year rule by Great Britain and the mayor for 50 years that made improvements to the city making it more walkable, bikable and less car traffic.
