One of the most photographed spots in Australia, Katoomba Falls, is a waterfall on the Kedumba River that descends into the Jamison Valley. The waterfalls cascade down a cliff in layers, and the Katoomba Falls Round Walk is an easy trail that is only about 3 km in distance. This is a beautiful location with many hiking tracks to choose from and spectacular views.
Katoomba is the main town of the City of Blue Mountains located in New South Wales, and home to the headquarters of Blue Mountains City Council. Katoomba Downtown is a quaint but busy town with people from all over the world constantly visiting, thriving off tourism and is located only about an hour and a half from Sydney.
There's a magical, yet captivating story behind popular The Three Sisters rock formation in Katoomba, involving a folklore of three sisters that had fallen in love with three brothers but were forbidden to marry. The Three Sisters is a scenic attraction of three distinct cliffs that was formed by land erosion over 200 million years ago during the Triassic period. This site was eroded over time by wind, rain and rivers, causing the cliffs surrounding the Jamison Valley to be slowly broken up, forming the three cliffs, or Three Sisters.
Boars Head Lookout gets its name from its unique and quite distinctive appearance; it resembles a boar of course! The rock formation appears to look like a boar or a pig's head. It silently and spectacularly stands on top of the cliff overlooking views both of Jamison Valley and Megalong Valley.
This fantastic lookout is not on the bus loop and has been recently redesigned, so it feels quite luxurious! It’s easily accessible and it offers beautiful views over the Megalong Valley, on the other side of the Narrow Neck Plateau.

This excursion was fantastic! We were a group of six adults. Our tour guide, Joseph, arrived early in a very comfortable private vehicle. We were able to communicate before the tour by WhatsApp, which gave us peace of mind about our tour that we had booked months in advance. Joseph, or tour guide, was very knowledgeable & entertaining throughout the whole trip. He was patient, a good driver, flexible & always had our best interest in mind. We explored the Blue Mountains & were able to get fantastic pictures & create wonderful memories! If we go back to Australia, we will definitely request Joseph. Booked this tour on advice from a fellow Celebrity Edge passenger. They weren't wrong. Joseph was an amazing tour guide. Clean, comfortable mini van. Great narration and conversation. Loved the stop at the wildlife park, got great pictures and we definitely made the most of our time with his guidance. His lunch recommendation was spot on. The stops at the lookouts were perfect. He skillfully navigated us through the Scenic park, avoiding unnecessary lines and making the most of our time on the cable car, mountain train and sky way. He even found us a lovely store to purchase an opal we were looking for. Highly recommend Joseph and this tour company.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our Blue Mountains tour with Joseph as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information throughout the day, but in a way that felt relaxed and easy to follow. His friendly and easygoing manner made the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The car ride was comfortable and pleasant, and the pacing of the day was perfect — we never felt rushed, but we also saw and experienced so much. This was an excellent tour. Our guide Joseph was exceptional and gave us background on both Sydney as well as the stops. Some very interesting legends. We got lucky with the weather and got to see both the falls as well as the 3 sisters.
