Itinerary
Travel through the desert landscapes and mountain foothills of Baja California Sur aboard a private 4x4 vehicle. Along the route, your guide shares information about the region's geography, ecosystems, ranching traditions, and the unique environment that defines the Baja Peninsula.
Arrive at Sol de Mayo Waterfall and explore one of the most beautiful natural oases near Los Cabos. Follow canyon trails leading to freshwater pools and the waterfall itself while enjoying time for hiking, swimming, photography, or simply relaxing in the peaceful surroundings.
Enjoy a traditional Baja-style lunch at Rancho Ecológico Sol de Mayo. Surrounded by desert scenery and local ranching culture, this stop offers an opportunity to relax, recharge, and experience regional flavors before continuing the adventure.
Stop at the Tropic of Cancer monument for photos and a brief introduction to the significance of this geographic latitude line that passes through Baja California Sur.

• Complimentary round-trip transportation is available from hotels in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Tourist Corridor • If your hotel is not listed, feel free to contact us so we can check transportation availability for your area • Guests arriving with their own vehicle may meet at Plaza Gali OXXO in Cabo San Lucas or Mega in San José del Cabo depending on their hotel location • Hotels outside the main tourist area, including Hard Rock, Nobu, Rancho San Lucas, Diamante, or Four Seasons, are not included in complimentary transportation and will meet at Plaza Gali OXXO in Cabo San Lucas • Cruise guests will also meet at Plaza Gali OXXO, approximately 3–5 minutes walking from the marina exit. Detailed walking directions will be provided with your confirmation message • Cabo San Lucas cruise arrivals operate using tender boats, which may take additional time depending on port operations. We strongly recommend taking the earliest tender available or booking priority tender service whenever possible • Guests who miss transportation or arrive late must arrive directly at the agreed meeting location before the activity start time at their own expense

- Terrain may include dirt roads, uneven surfaces, and moderate hiking sections
- Maximum 3 guests per Jeep. Drivers must present a valid driver’s license
- Transportation from San José del Cabo area is approximately 1.5 hours
- Comfortable closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended
- This experience requires favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to unsafe weather, ocean conditions, or operational restrictions, guests will be offered an alternative date or full refund
- No locker facilities are available, but belongings may usually remain inside the transportation vehicle during the activity
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems, pregnancy, or serious heart conditions
- Participants under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed
- Medical refund requests require an official same-day doctor’s certificate and prior notification before activity start time

Maury Sanchez was a knowledgeable, friendly, engaging guide. The trip started with pickup at our resort in an air conditioned van. We connected to an air conditioned well equipped jeep. We traveled to the mountains initially on the main road but quickly went off road. Travelled through Santiago with a brief stop at the site of the old mission. Arrived at the preserve where we did a short hike down to an amazing waterfall. We swam there for about an hour and surprisingly had the whole preserve to ourselves. Maury set up shade and took beautiful photos of my boyfriend and I swimming under the waterfall in this amazing place. After the refreshing swim, we traveled to a local restaurant for authentically prepared fresh fish. Don’t miss this amazing trip or this amazing guide!

Thank you Maury! Without a great guide, the Jeep tour would’ve just been another ride in the back country, this time a desert. Yes, there were many things to see, and especially because we were there right after the hurricane passed and everything had come alive and was green! The tour does include a time for hiking, which is structured to what you the customer wants to do. The waterfall we hiked to, was strong and powerful because of the storm. It seemed that Maury was ready to talk about anything and do so very well. We learned about the area and the things that we were seeing, and then talked about a whole range of other wonderful subjects. The hours passed quickly, but we will remember this tour for a long time to come. Thank you, Maury and thank you everyone responsible for making this possible.

Jose Luis was a fantastic guide for the day. From driving around some of the back roads in Baja to the hike in to the waterfall we had an amazing time. Driving down the sea of cortez with lunch in Cabo Pulmo was great. Highly recommended, my partner has never really driven off road and now I'm afraid we'll need a jeep.

Marco Polo was a fantastic guide and balanced our adventure with stories about local history, culture and environmental preservation. Los Arbolitos is a magical park that offered us the chance to swim in a real life aquarium. While the drive was bumpy we experienced glimpses into small towns all along our journey. Marco made our experience perfect providing snacks and cold waters. We finished the day at a sweet restaurant in Miraflores where we had delish fish tacos and passion fruit margaritas! Pedro Salas is an amazing guide! He took us to lovely little towns and toward the soaring mountains, into a gorgeous, lush oasis and waterfall. It was really magical and a totally different experience from what I’ve had before since it showed a different side of this part of Mexico. Pedro is a great guide, very friendly and totally bilingual. Oh and we stopped for delicious fish tacos, too. Highly recommend this tour!
