We had our highlight of our Sicily trip on our caper tour with Guiseppe. It was so great to learn more about the agroecology on the island and Giuseppe was a very gentle and knowledgeable guide. We had the most amazing appetizers, many thanks to the farm we had this at as well. 10/10
Our guide was excellent and was very kind, friendly, thoughtful, and informative; and he made the tour interesting and fun. He brought us to the beauty spots on Salina. He had the time to add a food tasting activity for us at a farm, and the food was delicious, and the setting was beautiful. The tour was a truly enriching experience!
Highly recommend Guiseppe from Ecogastronomic Tours to make one's stay that more enriched!!! He was very helpful providing us with lots of useful information while showing us breathtaking views and visas!! ...just gorgeous!!! ....accompanied by delicious wine and olive oil tasting in a magical vineyard setting not to mention delicious Sicilian treats!! Giuseppe made our half day excursion unforgettable...his passion for the island is contagious. Loved every fantastic minute of it!!
The tour with Giuseppe was phenomenal. I can’t recommend it highly enough. He introduced me to all the wonderful parts of the island, so I knew how to focus my attention for the remainder of the stay. My time in Salina would not have been as magical had I not gotten familiar with the history and landscape of the island with Giuseppe. And who knew capers could taste so good…salty or sweet!
Very informative. Learned about all of the unique areas of the island and the agriculture and culture of each area. Giuseppe was very friendly and funny.
With this guided tour, you will learn much about the island of Salina and the other Aeolian Islands. The best guided tour we have ever taken.
Beautiful walk but really too expensive: 70 euros per person to go around the island. You should have tasted the local specialties including the wine so good, the Malvasia in a property , the capers , the cuisine.
Guiseppe provided a wonderful 6 hour tour of beautiful Salina. We experienced a lovely lunch, tasting capers, wines and pasta. Guiseppe took us all over the island and gave us the history and information on each area. It was a fantastic way to see the whole island. Highly recommend Guiseppe!
We had a wonderful few hours with Giuseppe. He picked us up from our hotel and drove us around the island, stopping and pointing out the unique geographical features of Salina, explaining everything capers and Malvasia wine, as well as making sure we stopped for the famous ricotta granita with candied capers, a unique and gastronomic highlight of our holiday to Italy! Giuseppe’s pride shines through, a wonderful ambassador for Salina!
I tried to book each tour separately, but was then contacted by Guiseppi who suggested he wrap them all into a private tour. Picked up at my hotel, he drove me around the island, showing me each area and explaining the history. Our stops included plenty of photo shoots as well as gelato and a superb lunch at a local winery. All in all it was a great day, great value and I came away understanding a lot more about Salina.
