On this 6-day safari, the great migrating herds of wildebeests and zebras are situated at Lake Ndutu which is found in the Ngorongoro conservation area and a part of Serengeti eco-system and our main target is from Dec to April. From January it is the best time to witness the calving as they spread out across the short-grass plains and predators are just around waiting for their opportunities to make a hunt. You will experience both Tarangire, South Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with the Lion King Safaris, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the beginning, we had the feeling that the safari was designed for our profile. Everything was planned extremely carefully and accurately, even in the smallest details, like the clean car every morning and cold water. The food, for example, was wonderful, in addition to very tasty, always adapted to my diet (no sugar, no white flour), which made all the difference for me. This level of attention and care is rare. In addition, it was thanks to the excellent service of Maria that we made the decision to close with Lion King. She was very attentive, clear and professional from the first contact, conveying a lot of confidence. We know that the logistics of a safari like this is complex, but as customers, at no time do we feel that. Everything went very smoothly and organized, schedules, travel, check-in and check-out in the hotels, which allowed us to simply enjoy the experience without worry. During our 5-day and 4-night safari, starting in Ndutu, passing through the Serengeti and finishing in the Ngorongoro Crater, we were able to see all the animals we were looking forward to. And a very special highlight for our guide, Mecky. He's just sensational. It is very rare to find someone who is, at the same time, an excellent driver and an amazing guide. He was always polite, attentive and extremely professional. He demonstrated an impressive knowledge of animals, clearly explaining the behavior, habits and locations where each species is usually located. Although young, he showed an extraordinary experience and maturity. Drived with great skill and care, always knowing exactly when to accelerate and when to reduce, respecting our time and making the safari truly personalized for us. Honestly, it was an experience that far exceeded our expectations. Mecky made all the difference and made everything even more special. We recommend Lion King for those looking for a well-organized, attentive and unforgettable safari.
We travel a lot, but this safari was something else entirely. Six days across Tanzania – every morning game drive, every sunset, every evening by the camp felt like it was happening in slow motion in the best possible way. We got incredibly lucky with our guide Haruni. He is someone who is genuinely, deeply in love with nature – not as a backdrop, but as something alive that moves him every single day. And that feeling was impossible not to catch. He wasn't just doing his job out there; he was experiencing it alongside us. When something extraordinary appeared on the horizon, his eyes lit up the same way ours did. All of our accommodations were wonderful – authentic, atmospheric, and surprisingly comfortable. The kind of places where the service feels personal rather than polished, and where you genuinely feel like part of the landscape rather than a guest passing through. Each lodge had its own character and added something different to the trip. I came home with more memories than I know what to do with. Elephants at a watering hole at golden hour. The Milky Way overhead with no light pollution for miles. The sound of lions in the distance at night. These aren't just photos – they're feelings. If you're considering a safari in East Africa, stop considering and just go.
Fredrick is an excellent guide. He always prepare the car well. Everyday clean up and refill the water to each seat. Also he has very good eyes. This was my first safari and my first visit to Tanzania. There is nothing that Lion King could have done better. Everything was exquisite. Each day was a new, exciting adventure. Our guides, Gilbert and Yusoph were a big part of this exceptional trip. We saw so many animals. The depth of their knowledge was awe-inspiring. They were both friendly, flexible, helpful and funny! Our tour guide was Mwita. He was very professional, and he checked our status and adjusted the schedules accordingly!!! Serengeti was so beautiful, and definitely we want to visit again!! Amazing safari with Lion King and our guide Enoch did a super job of tailoring every day to ensure we had the best experiences, he was super friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was very well organised and the safaris were amazing. We saw 35 different animals and over 100 different birds. Too many highlights to mention them all but the elephant drinking out of our swimming pool was unforgettable!
