We took a direct flight to Beauvais and then started a road trip visiting Vernon, Giverny, Caen, Étretat, Denin and more
We were disappointed with our experience. We spent three full days seeing the best of Normandy Brittany and Loire Valley but we felt very rushed throughout the entire trip. Worst of all, Cyrus didn’t give much information in the car (he barely spoke) but after we arrive at the site he would tell us things which took up the already limited time we had to see the sight. While most tours would include St. Malo along with St. Michel, Cyrus skipped St. Malo and instead took us to see an old town called Dinan with a French tour guide. We felt that was a poor choice of sights. The whole trip could have been a lot better as the area was really beautiful! We didn’t feel well taken care of even though it was a small group tour.
Dear Mme J. Quan, Dear Mme A. K. Wong, Dear Mr G. C. Lee. We have spent time at each point according to our itinerary. So we have spent 4 hours in Mont Saint-Michel, 2 hours at our last Lunch at a Michelin restaurant etc. Thankful words to me at the end of this trip, tipping from everybody. Disappointed about You post production evaluation. I wish You nice trips in future with other operators. Cyrus
The sights on this itinerary were all beautiful! However we couldn’t understand why we skipped St. Malo for a small town called Dinan. Most first time visitors would rather see St. Malo along with St. Michel but we were made to spend almost two hours at Dinan with a French speaking tour guide while our guide tried to translate, thus wasting a lot of precious time when we could have visited St. Malo instead. Our driver guide Cyrus was not very informative - little information was given before we arrive at each site, then he would take up precious time giving information that could have been given before. Most of the time he didn’t even say a word during the long rides from sights to sights. Anyway, his English was not very fluent so it took us a while to understand what he was saying. Since we had little time at each location (about an hour or 1.5 hours and no more than two hours including time for lunch) everything felt very rushed. The reason we booked a small group tour (and paid more) was exactly to not to have to rush. But we felt rushed during the whole trip. One night we were told to walk back to the hotel after dinner at 9pm, it was raining so we called Cyrus but he refused to come to get us. He could have helped us get a taxi ride. We felt that we weren’t well taken care of. It was definitely not a small group tour type experience.
Dear Mme J. Quan, Dear Mme A. K. Wong, Dear Mr G. C. Lee. Some information. We have spent time at each sight according to our itinerary. So we spent 4 hours at Mont Saint-Michel, 2 hours our last Lunch at a Michelin restaurant etc. This is the second bad review from the same family. I remember Your thankful words at the end of the trip and tipping. I remember driving back to bring You Your jacket left in my Minivan. Thank You for the business You gave us. I liked this trip anyway. But I liked the story about the dinner. I booked for the group a dinner at a good restaurant in Mont Saint-Michel about 700 meters away from the hotel (without a reservation it would be hardly possible to find a table at a restaurant). I checked it up before bringing the group there. I brought the group there by car and went afterwards to my hotel. As I got a call at 10:20 pm asking me to bring You back to the hotel I was (un)fortunately already in bed. Sorry about this stupid habit to go to bed so early after a 15 hours working day before another one. I know that all other guides would get dressed immediately in similar situations and run to make a 700 meters transfer. My choice was my bed. Regarding my English I tried my best. Yes I would have done it better if I could :) I have been working on my English for many many years but obviously not enough and I am still learning new words from my clients during every trip. I hope to achieve a higher level within the next few years. Anyway it is the first time that some body has complained about my English. I wish You a good Experience with other travel companies. Once upon a time You guide & driver Cyrus G
