Maurizio was a fantastic guide. He made the experience incredibly interesting, keeping all of us totally engaged. He weaved in stories about the specific paintings with background about the artists (both factual and some gossip mixed in) which really brought everything to life. I would strongly recommend Maurizio and would use him again for this tour and others.
Our guide(Napoleone Tours)was great, people came up to him and complimented him on his ability to relay his passion of the artwork to us! I forgot to get our guide’s name. The museum was train station but was eventually converted to a museum that houses a vast and beautiful collection of paintings, sculptures and photography by Renoir, Van Gogh, Cezzane. Pissaro, Gauguin, Monet, Degas, Manet, and the list goes on and on! The Louvre was closed so unfortunately the museum was extremely crowded, it does have a restaurant/cafe. Too much to see and not enough time!!
This two hour private tour of Musee D’Orsay was, hands down, one of the BEST experiences my husband and I had during our 17 days in London and Paris. Our tour guide, Mauricio, was incredibly knowledgeable and all of his stories were entertaining and engaging. We learned ALOT and had a very pleasant and fun time doing so. Highly, highly recommend this experience!!!!
I think our guide was named Mattias - he was Italian and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about what we were looking at. Both of us came in with some art history knowledge but he gave us context that we didn't know we were missing and walked us through Impressionism's creation and aftermath. Really impressive and very highly recommend.
A trip back in time thanks to Maurizio! We did not see the two hours pass it was very interesting, a well organized visit, to each work its story! The guide was captivating! I recommend 100%!
Mauricio was a phenomenal guide. Amazing storytelling, kept our group engaged and intrigued. We learned lot.
Our guide, Maurizio, was fantastic! My husband is not a fan of museums and art work. But, after spending a delightful two hours with Maurizio, we both left feeling like we had a better understanding of impressionism and what was happening in France at that time. Maurizio was knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining. He skillfully guided us from one iconic painting to another, all the wild describing what was really on the painters, mind, and what he was trying to say. After a wonderful two hours, I feel like I really got to see some of the best that the Orsay has to offer. Thank you, Mauricio!
Fantastic guide which made the experience so worth the trip. He made everything come to life. It is good for even the novice art lover.
What a wonderful time we had today at the Musee D’Orsay with our Tour Guide Maurizio! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the museum and of the artists whose works he showcased during our 2 hour private tour. His presentation style was both informative and entertaining as he truly brought the artists to life with his stories and facts. After our tour was completed, we stayed in the museum to explore it further on our own. We highly recommend Napoleone Tour for a great experience.
This tour was so enjoyable and our tour guide, Maurizio, was truly outstanding. He was a perfect guide for a crowded museum, getting us efficiently, to many significant paintings. He was personable, witty and incredibly knowledgable about the artwork. Our group consisted of just 5, all our family, including our 9 year old granddaughter, an art student. Maurizio is a great teacher. He made the history of the pieces come to life with engaging story telling. And he was so great with our granddaughter, engaging her directly, treating her as a grown up. We highly recommend this tour!
