Prison island tours

Modi arranged for us pickup from/to airport and a 3 days excursions program including one day to prison island and Nakupenda sandbank picnic, one day safari to Mikumi and one day tour of Jozan forest and spice farm. Everything was well organized and resulted in a memorable experience from our visit to Zanzibar.

Tour company cancelled on us last minute and without reason. Book with your hotel if you value your time.

Highly recommend Mody for this and any tour planning or transport in Zanzibar. Mody made our Zanzibar experience easy to organize and gave us unforgettable experiences. He planned a great day to Changu Island and a VIP grilled seafood feast on Nakupenda sandbank! While other groups sat close to each other under a tarp on the sand, we had our own private dining setup with a table and chairs, making the experience feel extra special. The seafood platter was overflowing with perfectly grilled fish, shellfish, and crispy fries – one of the most memorable meals we had on the Island. We also booked a fun and educational spice farm tour, and he organized seamless transportation to and from Nungwi for part of our trip. Mody and his team were always on time (or early!), responsive to questions, and offered very reasonable rates. If you’re visiting Zanzibar, don’t hesitate to book with Mody.

The trip went off without a hitch, and I couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience. Every recommendation was spot-on, and I felt truly supported by the moody travels throughout my journey. Aventuras con Mody !!!! Hizo que nuestra experiencia en stown town fuese mágica, nos llevó a prision island donde nos explicó toda la historia de la isla y sus tortugas ! Y luego pasamos a una experiencia inolvidable en Nakupenda beach, un banco de arena con unas aguas increíbles , y nos trajo una riquísima mariscada. Lo recomiendo al 100% , muy fácil la comunicación y hace que tu experiencia sea lo mejor. Adventures with Mody !!!! He made our experience in stown town magical, he took us to prison island where he explained all the history of the island and its turtles! And then we went on to an unforgettable experience at Nakupenda beach, a sandbar with incredible waters, and he brought us a delicious seafood platter. I recommend it 100%, communication is very easy and it makes your experience the best.

What to say more. The best guide in Zanzibar. I was thrilled by my friend’s words about Moody hospitability but i was determined to give it a try so i booked a private trip to nakupenda and prison island. Very informative guy and we learnt a lot about the history of tanzania. Zanzibar, way of living in Zanzibar. Mody had the whole information about the history, geography, culture and a lot of things that you want to try to experience in Zanzibar. Even more, he is the best photographer in Zanzibar, capturing the best photos and best videos in the tour. We were surprised in Nakupenda, we were far away at the sandbank edge and when we turned back we got a honeymoon table filled with exotic fruits and grilled fish lobsters, prawns and ext. He put some music and registered a video for me and my wife dancing on the sandbank. What a gorgeus guy. At the way bakc at our hotel we insisted to buy some candies and biscuits for children there and he tried to find some open schools in order to share with the childrens,there were some leftovers of the candies and next day he asked all the day what to do with the candies. We were not able to do the suggested tour- village tour by Moody because we were only for 5 days in Zanzibar and the weather was not so good at the beginning of the June but after the description of the tour, i think that i will give it a try even i am going to visit Zanzibar in the future. You have to spent a couple of dollars to buy sack of flour, some corn and oil, you give it to the village family and they share their way experience of living, their culture, how they cook, live, learn and act as a whole community based on norms and their tradition.And you will be their blessing for that day coz of the help you gave by buying smth to them. What a wonderful tour that gives me interest to do in the future, a piece of that experience i got with the childrens in Zanzibar. At the end of the tour, We gave him the payment. Mody, you are humble and the most amazing father, and person i have ever known in Zanzibar. Thank you for everything. Zanzibar needs more guides and persons like you. For any tour organised in Zanzibar, to know much better the culture, traditions, foods, the history and the way of living there, except the experience you will live throughout the tour, an in order to feel safe all the time , i suggest only one name- Mody tours

Excellent visit. Our guide Shavi was professional and on time. He was fluent in French and even gave us a history course on the island prison and Zanzibar. Visit recommended. Plan to go early in the morning to take the time to enjoy.
