The tour was good, lots of information from Chris. Train not operated this week but ok anyway. Cable car a definite worth doing as well as Baron Falls. In kuranda the butterfly sanctuary very good, although the rest of kuranda a bit disappointing as shops not offering much and food is like cheap takeaway. There is great potential at kuranda but they seem to have lost connection with the tourist
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review 😊 We're glad you enjoyed Chris's commentary and made the most of the day, especially Skyrail, Barron Falls and the Butterfly Sanctuary. We're sorry the Scenic Railway wasn't operating during your visit. Unfortunately, those closures are outside our control, but we're pleased you were still able to enjoy the rest of the experience. Kuranda certainly offers something different for every visitor, and we appreciate your honest feedback about the village. Thank you again for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Tropical North Queensland in the future.

Pick up went without a hitch, the history of how the train line was built so many years ago blew my mind . Skyraile was amazing, the views beautiful
What a beautiful review — thank you! We agree, the determination behind building that railway all those years ago is extraordinary. And those Skyrail views across the rainforest canopy are just magic. We’re so glad you had such a wonderful day with us!
Joined Brett's Kuranda Tours from Port Douglas on 13 October 2025 with the Kuranda day tour. Unfortunately, the Skyrail was closed for maintenance. The day was very nice. In Kuranda we went to the Koala Garden ourselves. The Kuranda Train was very nice and a nice trip. Tip: Book extra the upgrade to Gold Class. Overall a very nice excursion thanks to our tour guide Peter.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! 🌿 We’re so glad you enjoyed your day exploring Kuranda, even with the Skyrail closure. It’s wonderful to hear you loved the train journey — and great tip about upgrading to Gold Class! Peter will be delighted to know he made your day memorable. —From all the team at Kuranda & Outback Tours 🌿🚌
Guided by Chris we visited the Kuranda shops and markets as well as their small zoo with habitats for Koalas, Kangaroos, Crocs and more. The gondola was closed for repair so we did not experience that, but we enjoyed the scenic train ride. I would suggest business class tickets which included comfortable barrel chairs, snacks and drinks.
Thank you for your lovely review! 🌿 We’re so glad you enjoyed exploring Kuranda and the scenic train journey with Chris, even with the Skyrail closed for maintenance. Great tip about upgrading to Gold Class — it’s a wonderful way to experience the railway! —From all the team at Kuranda & Outback Tours 🌿🚌
Trip exactly as described. Guide had great local knowledge of history and recommended places to go and avoid in Kuranda.

Brett was our tour guide for the day He was so knowledgeable about the area and he told all his stories and information with such enthusiasm that it made the whole experience so much more fun and interesting. He was very inclusive of everyone who boarded the bus introducing everyone as they boarded. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the train a tree had fallen over the tracks but Brett was quick to rearrange our whole day and take us back to the Skyrail and do the tour in reverse which was brilliant. To overall the tour from start to finish was well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Thank you for your kind review! We're so glad you had a great day with Brett and that his enthusiasm and knowledge made the experience even more enjoyable. Our team always strives to ensure a smooth and memorable tour, even when unexpected changes arise, so we’re happy to hear that the revised itinerary worked out well. Chris was our guide for the day. From his heart welcome to information about the area and a few stories to orient us, he was all in. The scenic train was cancelled as we waited for the train to pull in. Chris went to plan b and then c, and by the time we got to the sky rail nearby, the office had rescheduled our tours for the day. No worries! We were in good hands. Every pickup and drop off occurred without a problem. Directions clear.Appreciated the day before reminder so I didn’t have to go through all our paperwork to ensure we were meeting at the right time and place.
We had a great day with Chris even though our train was delayed well over an hour. He was knowledgeable in a broad area of subjects and was able to answer any questions thrown his way with the help of Bosun.
Thank you so much for your review. We are so glad you had such a great day out with Chris & Bosun, even with the delay of the train, unfortunately that was out of our control. Cheers, Andrea & the team at Brett's Tours
