Second time visiting Port Arthur and it was amazing just like first time. The place is amazing. Perfect
Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear your return to Port Arthur was just as powerful as the first. We hope to see you again next time you travel to Tasmania.
Wonderful to start the day at the Salamanca Market! Gifts and snacks and farm fresh produce. Then guide Peter took us to Port Arthur where we had several hours to roam the site. I attended several talks by docents who were very knowledgeable of the site, the buildings, and the history of this unique place. Its beauty belies its history. Everything ran smoothly and Peter was an exceptional guide. Highly recommend.
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're so glad you enjoyed starting the day at Salamanca Market—it's always a vibrant and delicious way to begin. It’s great to hear you had plenty of time to explore Port Arthur and attend the informative talks by the site’s docents. The contrast between its beauty and its history truly makes it a powerful place to visit. We're thrilled Peter helped make the day smooth and memorable. Thanks again for the recommendation!
Salamanca time was toi short and rushed for ys who love shopping. Port Arthur couod have had a perdonal guide so that we could have benefiitted to the fullest.
Thank you for your feedback—we really appreciate you sharing your thoughts. We understand that for those who love shopping, time at Salamanca Market may never feel enough. We allocate 2 hours there to ensure guests have a chance to explore while also preserving enough time to fully experience Port Arthur, which is the main focus of the day. As for the Port Arthur visit, while we provide tour commentary and guidance, we also encourage guests to explore at their own pace if they wish. Thanks again for joining us!
It was interesting to learn about the history of Port Arthur and see many of the original buildings and gardens. The boat trip around the bay at Port Arthur was very enjoyable too.
What an impactful tour. The markets tour was busy with many stalls and vendors with differing wares. The tour to Port Arthur was insightful and impactful of the period. The remains of some structures were spooky in understanding their past. The complex provided well presented descriptions of events and knowledge of the struggles of the inmates and life in a remote area of the times.
Colin our guide/driver was terrific. He was knowledgeable, had humour and made the day very pleasant.I would highly recommend the trip because of him!
Beautiful, but solemn experience. Was great to see some of our countries history, all be it criminal.
Yes just go. - a nice mix of activities prior to a bus trip . Despite wet weather a good rush between buildings culminating with the boat trip was just perfect
An amazing and informative tour! Our guide Colin was very knowledgeable and made us laugh throughout the day with his dad jokes. He went above and beyond for all on the tour. We learnt so much about the history of Port Arthur and the site was beautiful. Definitely worth the visit!
Historical view of Tasmania set in a magnificently Beautiful peninsula. Beautiful garden, A must see. The local tour staff went out of their way to find me when I miss to show up on time. What a rare act of kindness. Davey , the tour guide was great and knowledgeable . Thank you all from the bottom of my heart,
