We had a fantastic experience on LIV Tours’ Picasso Museum tour in Barcelona with Vitaliy. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested not only in Picasso’s artwork, but also in understanding the person behind the paintings. Vitaliy did an excellent job bringing Picasso’s life to life by weaving together his family, friendships, relationships, the cities where he lived, and the historical and cultural context that shaped his work. Rather than simply discussing individual paintings, he showed how Picasso’s early works reflected his personal circumstances and the broader world around him, making it easy to understand the evolution of his artistic style and the influences that defined his career. What made the tour especially engaging was how seamlessly Vitaliy integrated art, architecture, and history into a single narrative. His passion and depth of knowledge were evident throughout, and he communicated complex ideas in a clear, organized, and accessible way. He also welcomed questions at every stage, thoughtfully adapting his presentation while maintaining a coherent and engaging flow. His respectful, interactive approach fostered curiosity and made the experience feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. This was one of the most insightful museum tours we’ve taken, and it gave us a much deeper appreciation for Picasso, his life, and his art. We spent 3 hours with Vitaliy on the Picasso walking tour and it was fantastic. We had our good friends and our two youngest daughters (19 and 22) with us and we were all very impressed with the quality of the tour and of Vitaliy’s knowledge of the City of Barcelona, it’s history, and the life and works of Picasso. We all commented that it felt like we just took a college class on these topics and it was perfectly understandable for all of us with different experiences with art and history. I could not recommend a tour more highly than this and for the price it was absolutely a tremendous value for our group of 6. Thank you for providing such a wonderful service to travelers like me. This is the 2nd LIV tour we have taken on our trip so far and the content and presentation is far superior to other tours we have taken includng cruise excursions. Thank you, Teresa, for a wonderful tour of the neighborhoods of Picasso and the Picasso Museum. My family and I so enjoyed our time together and we got a lot more than just Picasso, it was in effect a tour of the best parts of the Ciutat Vella and all things Picasso. But the real magic was having your experienced eye and explanation of the Museum too. Putting all the context around Picasso's development from a young artist to his mature works was magic. And also placing him in context of the other artists and political figures of his era was so important. I would definitely recommend Teresa for anyone interested in the Gothic areas and the Picasso Museum. It was a fantastic day for us that we will remember always.
Our family had another fun tour with Vitaliy from Liv Tours, this time at the Picasso Museum. After a nice walking history lesson on the way, we got to see the history of Picasso’s life and art at the museum. It was amazing to see his skills as young as age 15 and then see how he progressed throughout his long and storied history. Vitaliy was as knowledgeable and pleasant as ever on this tour, just as he was yesterday at La Sagrada Família. 5 stars again, thanks, Vitaliy!
