Join a meaningful 2-hour elephant learning experience in the hills near Patong, combining respectful elephant observation with a simple tree planting activity. Meet the local guide and keeper team, learn about elephant care, daily routines, food, and natural behavior, then help prepare natural food under staff guidance. Walk through the sanctuary area with your guide and observe elephants as they move, eat, forage, or rest naturally. You will also take part in a tree planting activity designed to support the local environment. This experience does not include elephant riding, shows, tricks, or forced bathing. Activities may vary depending on elephant comfort, safety, weather, and keeper guidance on the day.

Arrive at Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village, located in the hills behind Patong City Centre. Meet your local guide and receive a short introduction to the village, the elephants, and the importance of ethical elephant care. Begin your experience by learning about the elephants’ stories, daily routines, food, behavior, and the role of local caretakers. You will have time to observe the elephants respectfully, take photos, and enjoy gentle hands-on activities in a safe and responsible way. During the visit, join a tree planting activity that helps support the natural environment around the village. This adds a meaningful conservation element to your experience and is a great activity for families and nature-loving travelers. At the end of the experience, guests who book the pickup option will be transferred back to their hotel, while meeting point guests will finish at the same location.

Absolutely brilliant. We were very nervous at first but then we were reassured by our guide and we could get up real close to feed and touch the elephants. We took our 3 year old daughter and was very comfortable with this tour.
