Along this excursion, you will have two visits to classified wineries of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Each château will offer you the opportunity to taste between 2 and 3 of their wines. Your chauffeur will show you the Prieuré de Cayac, the beautiful "route des châteaux" and the famous château Smith Haut-Lafitte... Do you have the spirit of an adventurer? If you wish, you can take the wheel of your 2CV on a small country road! * * You need to have a valid driving license with you. ** Each 2CV can take a maximum of 3 people (plus the chauffeur). If you book for 2 people you will have one 2CV. If you book for 6 people you will have two 2CVs, etc. When there are several 2CVs, we drive in convoy.

Our driver/tour guide/historian, TOM, made the experience fantastic. He was super knowledgeable and willing to share his personal favorites of the city for our stay. The wineries were quite good, informative, and tasty. The car was an extra benefit as everyone along the way smiled seeing the cute car.
Great novelty tour in the 2CV. The car made other road users smile as we went along. Great driver with very good English and a good sense of humour. The two vineyards we visited were both excellent and hosts who showed the two of us round were really enthusiastic. The wine was good too.
The wine region visited is not Pessac-Leognan, but Médoc. They were great Châteaux, but out of my official expectations. Although a little uncomfortable for today’s patterns, the old car ride was charming.
Booked this half day tour during our free day in Bordeaux during a river cruise. We looked specifically for the Pessac-Leognan appellation because we enjoy both red and white wines from this region. The private tour included visits to two excellent family-run wineries with full tours of their wine-making process as well as wine tastings. We were accompanied by our chauffeur of the tour who drove us around Bordeaux in a classic 2CV - an engaging college student from Eastern France who spoke excellent English and shared his local experience with us.
