The trail follows ancient mule tracks that once connected the hamlet of Nocelle near Positano with Bomerano, in Agerola. Named for the spectacular beauty that surrounds it, the Path of the Gods is a magical spot that has captivated hikers for generations. The trail winds through terraced slopes, past abandoned farmhouses, and across Mediterranean scrubland. Along the way, you may encounter shepherds with their mules, as well as glimpses of wildlife like kestrels, peregrine falcons, and lizards. In spring, the path is adorned with vibrant orchids, heather, and myrtle.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed this hiking tour of the Gods! The views were absolutely breathtaking! The hike was adventurous and our guide provided the history of the land we trekked through. We enjoyed a surprise tasting from the Shepard’s kitchen up on the trail overlooking the sea and village below! An overall spectacular day atop the Amalfi coast.
Absolutely first class. Had wanted to complete this trip for months and was in full panic when my train was late at Meta to meet the guide in Sorrento. I called the office and explained..not only dis the group wait for me, they sent Roberto who gave me a lift in the basket of his bike up the avenue in Sorrento to meet everyone. Talk about arriving in style!!. Nino was amazing as a guide, so informative not just about the actual Path of the Gods but about the surrounding area and Italy itself. The Path is spectacular, the natural terrain, plants, animals and of course the wonderful shepherd. Lunch was unreal. The hike itself was duelling in the heat but we trucked on. The views were fabulous and it was tough going at times. Without hesitation I would throughly recommend this trip, wear hiking shoes though and plenty of water. Loved it and thank you.
Dear Traveler, Thank you so much for this incredible review! When delays happen, our team’s top priority is making sure no one gets left behind! We are so proud of our office staff for coordinating everything so quickly and efficiently to keep your day stress-free. As for Roberto giving you a ride in his bike basket straight up the avenue: that is definitely what we call arriving in style! Nino will be overjoyed by your kind words. His passion for the Path of the Gods, local wildlife, and Italian culture is truly top-notch. We are so glad you tackled the heat, enjoyed the meeting with the shepherd, and refueled with that unreal lunch while taking in those jaw-dropping views! Thank you also for sharing the great advice on proper hiking shoes and hydration. Thank you again for trusting our team with your day, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure soon! Best regards, The IAMME IA! Gray Line Team
Nino and his son, Tony were the best! They were so informative and ensure safety for all. The hike was absolutely incredible and e had an excellent lunch halfway by Antonio.

Amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and provided great history during our hike. Allowed plenty of rest breaks! We also got to do a halfway pit stop and meet a local Shepard and snack on some of his farm fresh goods! Was very beautiful and enjoyable!
A wonderful hike with beautiful scenery. We definitely appreciated the snack of bruschetta, cheese and wine along with some lively music. All together it was an excellent day trip the exceeded our expectations
This was such a highlight for me. I love hiking and the views on this hike are like nowhere else. You need to be in decent shape and it is a lot of climbing. Antonino was awesome!! Him and his Dad both had a group. Very informative and he stopped often to let us take pictures. Stopping at Antonio's sheep house for a snack was just so cool. The food was fresh and so good. It was such a great day and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast
