Explore the neighborhood where famous artists such as Picasso and Van Gogh lived and worked. You will stroll through the narrow streets of Montmartre and your guide will tell you the history of the district and its many anecdotes that will make you appreciate even more the artistic and bohemian atmosphere of this part of Paris.
You will discover the many cabarets of Montmartre and at the end of the tour you will admire the largest and most important of them all, the Moulin Rouge, at the foot of the hill.
You will meet the guide at the meeting point and together you will walk towards the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, which you can admire from outside. Along the way you will enjoy a breathtaking view of Paris.

Lots of steps up to Sacre Coeur, or take the funicular for a partial break, our guide Frank gave us plenty of history of the Montmartre area on cool rainy afternoon. We first had trouble locating him at the meeting place, but a quick phone call and we were on our way. Try to go other than summer as it was crowded even in May.
Our guide was terrific, polite, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this tour.

Our tour of Montmarte with Monica was priceless. It was our first day in Paris, so despite the jetlag, she kept us engaged, interested, and seeing all the parts of Paris we would have missed on our own! Walking where the famous artists walked and lived and getting the benefits of an art history masters’ insight was priceless. As a bonus, she took pictures that were some of the best on our trip, showed us special shops of Parisian specialties, and gave us dining recommendations to last us through the week. In short, this was the highlight of our trip!
