Paris Le Marais Food Tour With 10+ Tastings, Cheese, Wine & More

Description
On our Secret Food Tour: Le Marais Paris, you'll enjoy a variety of classic French street foods starting with a viennoiserie/croissants, and collecting breads, then go and seat to enjoy a classic croque-monsieur in the very restaurant where Jim Morrison spent some of his time in Paris, along with discovering our mystery dish and cheese while enjoying a glass of red and white wine. Visiting Le Marais also means seeing the Jewish street of Paris and tasting some creamy Falafels. Then off to a world of sweetness for some incredible chocolates and colourful macarons, all of this crowned by a dessert to finish with style. Our tour starts at the bustling heart of Le Marais near the famous rue de Rivoli, one of the main streets of the city. During the tour we will walk the old streets, cross the Place des Vosges and see some of the oldest medieval houses of Paris. You will realise how the locals live in this part of Paris and how the city's history influence has shaped its gastronomy.

Itinerary
1- 11 Rue François Miron, 75004 Paris. Two of Paris' oldest medieval houses - Walk past and make a stop
A striking Baroque church from 1641 towering over Rue Saint-Antoine. Its dome inspired Les Invalides, and its steps have watched over Marais market life for nearly four centuries.
60 Rue des Francs Bourgeois, 75003 Paris, National Archive museum, Pass without stopping
Paris's oldest planned square, completed in 1612 for royal celebrations. Its perfectly symmetrical red-brick arcades once housed Victor Hugo, and today frame one of the most elegant spots in the city to pause between tastings.
The writer's home from 1832 to 1848, tucked into the corner of Place des Vosges. Hugo wrote much of Les Misérables here, and the apartment is now a free museum overlooking the square.
Jewish quarter
The beating heart of Paris's historic Jewish quarter, the Pletzl. This narrow medieval street is lined with falafel stands, Yiddish bakeries, and family-run delis — a living story of the communities that shaped the Marais's food culture.
Marché Enfants Rouge
30 Rue du Bourg Tibourg, 75004 Paris, Mariage Frère (since1854) is one of the oldest Tea salons in the Capital and an institution for tea lovers.

Tour was as advertised. Sharing was knowledgeable, personable and gave us a good balance of food and history. It was 100 degrees on our tour so also extra points for getting us cold water and trying to keep us cool.
We were happy to read your comments! We're pleased that your time with us gave you plenty to appreciate along the way. We look forward to welcoming you back to Secret Food Tours.
Kevan is amazing. Perhaps he tells the same jokes everyday, but you wouldn’t know it given his charisma and fun. The food was certainly enough, even for an American. The tour was just the right length, and we got a healthy sampling of different cuisines in this beautiful area of Paris. We highly recommend!

Lovely tour with Susan. A pleasurable mix of food tasting and historical facts but not overwhelming. It is a lot of food so tame your lunch and consider not scheduling dinner.

One of the best food tours I’ve ever been on. I’m not a croissant person. At all. Wasn’t thrilled to start the tour off with one but my god, it was fantastic. Buttery and flakey and I’ve been chasing one like it since the tour. The church tour between was fun, had a cheese croquets only since I don’t eat pork and it was great. Cheese tastings were soooo good and not normally anything I’d eat, which is what I love about food tours. The falafel and macaroons were soooo good I went back to both places before leaving Paris. 10/10 food tour.

We had such a wonderful experience on our Paris food tour with Ash! She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and especially attentive to my kids, which made the whole outing even more enjoyable for our family. Not only did we get to taste some absolutely delicious food, but everything was very thoughtfully selected and perfectly paced. Ash also shared so much interesting insight about the local culture, which made the experience feel both fun and meaningful—not just a typical food tour. Overall, we loved every part of it and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris. Thank you, Ash, for such a memorable experience!
