Terrible Experience. I booked an afternoon tour of the tower. When I got the confirmation the tour time said 11:15. My flight will just be landing. I attempted to amend the time like you can do on another site but you couldn't. I didn't make a mistake. I canceled so I could reschedule and was charged a 50% penalty. I scheduled and canceled in under 10 minutes. I called and emailed to talk with someone and explain the circumstances. All I got was an email stating their policy. Not very good customer service if you ask me. I made my reservation with the another company and had a great experience. Site much easier to navigate and options to make changes without a money grab.
Your guide was very nice and professional.
Our guide provided us with the history and interesting facts about the Eiffel tower with pictures to go along with his story. He brought us to a park where we had great views and then led us through security and up the elevator to the 2nd floor where we said good by. It was a quick visit but still worth the extra attention provided.
We were late due to there being a holiday in Paris and the concierge for Viator was understanding and extremely helpful and accommodating. She let us join the next group since it was past our time and we were still able to enjoy the Eiffel Tower partially with our tour guide Tiago. He was a nice guy.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! My wife suffered a leg injury a few days earlier and was having difficulty walking, but the guide -Alex - did a great job of walking slowly and occasionally stopping along the route from the office to the Eiffel Tower to explain sights to the group and allow us to catch up. Alex is knowledgable and kind and she helped make our visit to the top of the Tower an unforgettable one despite the rain!
I booked a guided Eiffel Tower experience through Viator and, unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations—especially considering the price. On the positive side, our guide was genuinely friendly and engaging. At the base of the tower, they shared some interesting historical facts and context, which was a nice start and set the tone for what I hoped would be a more in-depth experience. However, once we actually went up the tower, the guidance essentially stopped. There was little to no explanation about the views, landmarks, or the layout of Paris from above. This was particularly disappointing because, on a previous visit, I had a guide on the second floor who went above and beyond—pointing out key locations across the city and adding rich context that really enhanced the experience. In comparison, this tour felt quite limited. Given the premium price, I expected much more insight and interaction throughout the entire visit, not just at the beginning. All in all, it felt overpriced for what was delivered. That said, I understand that availability was limited, and this was one of the only options to access the tower that day. If you’re simply looking for guaranteed entry, it may serve the purpose—but if you’re expecting a truly guided experience, it might fall short.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the guide’s introduction at the base of the Eiffel Tower. We understand your disappointment regarding the lack of guidance once on the tower; however, due to site regulations, guides are not permitted to provide tours or commentary on the tower itself. We appreciate your understanding and your comments, which help us improve. If you have further questions, please contact us.
This guided tour is an absolute must. The rep was lovely and very informative. We did not have to queue which was good. Would definitely use this company Get Your Guide again!
Our tour guide was nice, graceful (we had a little confusion around the meeting place), and knowledgeable. We enjoyed this experience greatly and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it!
Disappointing visit not suitable for a 7-year-old child who, in he manages to have access to the views of Paris, can admire the fences and protections more than the Parisian monuments. I found the Guide Service uninteresting which in no way justifies the extra 5 euros per person to follow a guide in French rather than in English!!! What the little one remembers: his metro rides and the elevator of the eiffel tower
Guide was pleasant, very informed and good in explaining and also ensured safety concerns were met by the group
