This was the perfect Paris experience and we loved every minute. It takes place in a beautiful home that is located in the middle of a business district. The perfumer who teaches the class is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience in the industry. She gave us the basics to make our own scent, and later guided us in the right direction after our first attempt smelled more like bug spray than perfume. (It was hysterical). Thanks to her guidance, we all left with a beautiful bottle filled with our personally made scents. This was our favorite Paris experience and something we will never forget. Additionally, we asked to change our workshop time from morning to afternoon the day before the workshop. They responded quickly to let us know it was ok to do so. That’s something to keep in mind. The traffic in Paris is crazy, so give yourself lots of extra time to get anywhere.,
Marina was a great instructor/teacher - had a lovely time and came away with my own signature scent.
I reached out to the organizers beforehand and didn’t get a response, but the class itself was absolutely wonderful. It was fun, hands‑on, and educational. Such a unique experience! You get to experiment with three different scent blends before choosing your final perfume to take home, which makes for a truly special souvenir and memory from France. The instructor moves around helping everyone, and while we were ready to finalize our scents a bit sooner, it was still a delightful and engaging experience from start to finish.
Very nice home. Very kind and knowledgeable. Not in a shop so very intimate and personal. She assisted everyone personally.
i had done perfume making before but NOTHING like this. Marina is so knowledgeable, professionsl, helpful, kind. The entire family loved this. we each left with a 50ml bottle. we had 3 samples we started with so we could perfect our scent. we wanted to get a second bottle, but needed to pay cash. so bring cash with you. this is done in her/an apartment which i didn't know when i initially booked, but it provided for such a serene and perfect setting.
Very personal, very intimate and overall very nice. Viator forces me to continue talking, so I’m just filling the void.
Marina is a great teacher, the group is small (up to 8, ours was 5) so you get undivided attention and assistance with making your own perfume.
The concept was promising, but the organization and welcome need to be improved. I want to emphasize the initial interest in the activity, but the execution of our session was particularly disappointing. Let us clarify right away, with text messages to support, that our group arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled time. As no one was there to welcome us immediately, one of us slipped away to get a coffee, returning just as the facilitator finally opened the door, along with 3-4 English-speaking participants who were late. It should be noted that we were a group of 4 French speakers. Wanting to welcome an overloaded group of 13 people in just 1 hour and 30 minutes is one thing; knowing how to manage punctuality and bilingualism is another. The condescending and impatient attitude of the person leading the workshop made the moment very uncomfortable. The preferential treatment given to the English-speaking participants (who benefited from the majority of the explanation and assistance time) relegated us to the status of second-class clients. Being rushed to finish and choose our fragrance hastily, in frustration and confusion, is not what one expects from a service at this price. We were seated on very unstable folding chairs and tables and did not have access to all the equipment, unlike the group of English speakers. Respect for the customer begins with fairness in service. Clearly, profitability was prioritized here at the expense of hospitality and transmission.
Our instructor taught us how to make our very own smell for our bottle! She even helped my husband to make something for himself. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. She made something that could be daunting easy and fun! Would definitely do this again
Good mix between theory and practice. Good tutorial when the perfume was mixed.
