- This tour requires you to be able to stand for an extended period of time. It is 15 steps to the bakery on the 2nd floor with no elevator.

Pierre was delightful and full of wonderful information about patisserie. My kids had a great time learning about making baguettes, croissants and patisserie. We felt like the staff at Chez Manon were bothered by our presence, but Pierre couldn’t have been more welcoming. After our experience we took our baguettes and had a beautiful picnic with some jambon & fromage we picked up at a nearby market.

Our family had a WONDERFUL experience with this baking class! We had a 5 & 8 year old, and this was very feasible for them. Especially because our guide/teacher, Temi, was SO patient and engaging! We learned some great history, saw behind the scenes, got to get a little bit of hands-on, and we got to taste. Very memorable experience, we would definitely recommend!

We spent a fabulous 3 hours with our guide Paula, who was kind and welcoming and very knowledgeable. We were given a free drink and pastry on arrival, then we spent time in the kitchens learning how to make baguettes, financiers and croissants. We were given the opportunity to get hands on and we were given lots to take home. There were only 3 of us on this tour (we did Sat afternoon at 13:30) so lots of time and space for questions and to get to know each other. We highly recommend this tour!

The class is wonderful. Pierre was our instructor and he explained a lot about the professional bakery and equipment. We learned how to form a baguette and make a financier. Best yet, we were able to bring our baked goods back with us. We were also taught how to properly roll a croissant. It is a very hands on class and Pierre will answer any questions you might have.

Our guide Valentina made this a very special tour for our family of 4, including 2 teenage boys. We learned hands on how to prepare dough for baguettes and croissants, as we had a chance to make small Financials cakes. Valentina was fun, patient and provided great instruction. It was wonderful to see and taste the product of our work! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a hands-on activity in Paris at a working bakery!

Chez Manon was the perfect host for our croissant and baguette class. Valentina made the class informative and interactive. We expected a hands on baking experience. Instead what we got was a cramped, hot, sweaty, small set of rooms, spending about 10mins of the two hours actually baking. It is clearly just a money making exercise with little interest on the experience for visitors. Way too expensive for what you get. If you want a true Parisian experience, wander the local area around here - as it is gorgeous with great cafes.

Our bakery tour is designed as a combination of neighborhood discovery, visits to local artisans, tastings, and a hands-on baking session rather than a full cooking class. We understand that guests looking for a longer baking workshop may find the format different from what they expected. We would also like to provide some context for future readers. Your tour took place during an exceptionally hot day in Paris, with temperatures reaching 36°C. To help everyone stay comfortable, our guide provided extra water before the tour began. While some members of your party chose to leave the experience early because of the heat, the remaining participants completed the full tour, enjoyed the baking session, tastings, and market visits, and spent additional time with the guide at the end of the experience.
