Itinerary
Join us for a 3-hour walking food tour in Palma, where you’ll dive into a world of authentic local culinary experiences! You will meet your Local Expert in front of the Antonio Barceló Statue, the perfect starting point to explore the city’s rich history and vibrant food scene. From there, we’ll stroll through the charming streets of Palma’s old town, passing some of its most beautiful squares and iconic landmarks, while discovering fascinating stories about the city’s culture and traditions. As we explore, you’ll stop at carefully selected local venues to enjoy a variety of traditional Mallorcan flavors. From savory bites to sweet specialties, each tasting is thoughtfully chosen to showcase the essence of the island’s gastronomy, perfectly paired with a glass of local wine or a refreshing beer. Please note that the tastings described may vary depending on the season and the availability of our partner venues, ensuring the freshest and highest-quality ingredients at every stop.
You will begin your culinary adventure in Palma, wandering through the historic streets of the atmospheric La Lonja district, where maritime heritage and Mediterranean life blend effortlessly. As you stroll past honey-colored stone buildings, lively squares, and elegant Gothic façades, you’ll feel the echoes of merchants, sailors, and craftsmen who once shaped the city’s vibrant trading history. Here you will meet your Local Expert and head towards your first stop: a traditional local tapas bar nestled in the heart of La Lonja. Stepping inside, you’ll be welcomed by the warm buzz of conversation, the aroma of freshly prepared specialties, and the authentic atmosphere that defines Palma’s beloved tapas culture.
After enjoying the first tastings, we will continue your journey through the charming streets of Palma, wandering through the lively old town where history and everyday island life intertwine. With its elegant courtyards, noble townhouses, and vibrant squares, this atmospheric heart of the city provides the perfect backdrop for your next culinary stop. In a traditional vermutería in the city center, you will experience one of Spain’s most beloved rituals: the vermut hour. Here, you’ll sip a glass of locally served vermouth — aromatic, slightly bitter, and perfectly chilled — accompanied by a selection of classic Mallorcan tapas. This relaxed and sociable moment captures the true Mediterranean spirit, where simple flavors, good company, and unhurried conversation come together in perfect harmony.
After this stop, we will make our way through the heart of Palma, passing by the lively Plaça Major, where locals and visitors gather beneath colorful façades and historic arcades. The vibrant atmosphere of this central square perfectly reflects the energy of the city’s old town. Just a few steps away, we will pause for a delicious street-food style stop to taste one of Mallorca’s most traditional savory bites: the panada. This golden, flaky pastry, typically filled with meat, peas, or fish, is a true island classic — simple, hearty, and full of flavor. Enjoyed on the go like locals do, this short stop captures the authentic spirit of Palma’s everyday food culture.
We will then continue towards the vibrant Plaça de l'Olivar, home to one of the city’s most beloved food markets. Surrounded by elegant architecture and lively streets, this square has long been a meeting point for locals seeking the freshest produce and authentic flavors. For lunch, we will step inside the market for a delicious and simple tasting of jamón y queso. Thinly sliced Spanish cured ham paired with selected local cheeses creates a perfect balance of flavors — savory, delicate, and rich. Served with a glass of wine or a refreshing beer, this stop celebrates the quality and craftsmanship of traditional Spanish products in a lively setting. For dinner, the experience continues in a cozy local tapas bar nearby, where the warm atmosphere and the buzz of conversation set the tone for a true Mallorcan evening. Here you’ll enjoy a selection of freshly prepared tapas, designed to be shared and savored slowly — the perfect way to embrace Palma’s Mediterranean lifestyle.
To end your culinary journey on a sweet note, we will stop at a traditional pastry shop in the heart of Palma for a true island classic: the ensaïmada. This iconic Mallorcan pastry, light, airy, and delicately spiral-shaped, is dusted with powdered sugar and baked to golden perfection. Depending on the day, you may also find versions filled with cream, chocolate, or the traditional cabello de ángel (sweet pumpkin strands). Carefully wrapped to take away, this final treat allows you to savor a taste of Mallorca long after the tour ends — a sweet souvenir that perfectly captures the island’s rich baking heritage and love for simple, authentic flavors.

Good culinary trip with Lucia
Luciana was a really good guide, top spots for fopd and drinks.
Great experience. Be prepared for a long tour. But worth the time. Our guide was Luciana and she was great!
Valentyne was lovely! The tour was beautiful despite the heat. We had a great time, and the food was delicious. Valentyne was happy to answer every question and gave us great recommendations for beaches and bars. Thank you so much, Valentyne!
Good food and drinks. The options were nice and varied. Valentina was a good guide who explained lots about the various food we ate. The places we ate were also very different.
The tour was good as was the food and wine. Compared to other food tours we have been on this one had less points of interest highlighted to us than others, but was still good (to be fair it was a food tour so I am not complaining).
This tour was amazing! Valentina was a sweet heart and took us all around the best parts of Palma. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. It felt like we were dining with a friend. I hope to be back in Palma and take one of her tours again. She even helped us find a taxi, which can be challenging in the old town area specifically. Thank you Valentina!!! Please come to New Orleans so we can show you the same hospitality
Valentina was amazing! Friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Gave us insight into tapas culture and a bit of food history of Mallorca!
It was simply excellent. Our tour guide was Valentina. The impressions could not have been better. Valentina was very friendly, and time flew by with super delicious food. Simply TOP!
A truly wonderful tour. We learned and tried a lot of new things. Valentina was simply incredibly friendly. The day could not have been better!
