Start your hiking adventure with a pickup right from your Antigua hotel, and share a ride with your small group to the meeting location with the local guide in Pacaya Volcano National Park, which is an hour and fifteen minutes drive. Take a couple of minutes to use the restroom and stretch your legs at the park entrance to get ready, then set off on foot or by horseback (extra fee) with your local guide. Take the picturesque path along the mountain slopes and pause to appreciate the scenery before arriving at the elevated plateau that overlooks the volcanic crater. Visit the lava store for buying some gifts, take some time exploring the plateau, taking pictures, eating pizza (extra charge) and roasting marshmallows over the heat vents scattered across the lava field before starting the journey down to the park entrance for your ride back to Antigua

As this is a group tour with other participants, kindly wait outside your lodging at the designated pickup time. We provide a 20-minute timeframe for hotel pickups, but delays could impact the whole group. The quicker everyone is prepared, the smoother the tour will go. -Please be aware that we can collect from any hotels, Air BnBs, and homestays in Antigua that are in downtown area. -We do not offer pickups from neighboring villages.

Bayron provided thee best tour , pick up was ontime , he allowed us to stop and get local food , very professional. 10/10 recommend . He interacted with us the entire drive to Pacaya and gave us history on the different places that we passed . He has a very calm demeanor. We were so pleased with this tour that we ended up booking him for 3 more excursions while in Antigua , We even used him for our return to the airport . Bayron was fluent in English, this was a huge plus for us as we spoke minimal to no Spanish . Book with Bayron I promise he won’t disappoint.
