Itinerary
Situated in the beautifully manicured Tuileries Gardens, the Orangerie transformed into a museum in the early 20th century when Paris’s over-crowded museums needed new galleries. The Orangerie most famously houses the series of various waterlilies Monet granted to France thanks to his friendship with George Clemenceau, which earned their own private gallery space. The expansive collection of 19th century and early 20th century paintings features works by other famous Impressionists and those who came after. View Cezanne’s studies of fruits and flowers, seductive portraits by Matisse, and various phases of Picasso’s career through several nudes. Other artists including Modigliani, Renoir, and Utrillo, all make the Orangerie a must-visit for anyone who appreciates French art and the Impressionist movement.

Hugo was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He provided lost of details and anecdotes that I was unaware of.
The guide Belen was excellent, very knowledgeable. But her talks were a bit too long. We would prefer to have more time to view the paintings.
Anatole S. Provide great insight into the art & artists. It was a wonderful way to explore L’ Orangerie & Monet’s water Lillies.
This was a wonderful tour. We saw everything we wanted to see and received all the explanation we needed and wanted.
Excellent in every way . Elena our guide was superb
I really enjoyed the tour that Elena gave us. She shared extraordinary facts about Monet's life. Additionally, the visit to the lower gallery was very pleasant, where she narrated more about the works and authors.
Our tour with Belen was an absolute standout. She has that rare mix of deep knowledge and lively storytelling that makes every place feel alive. The three hours we spent with her felt like exploring with a passionate local friend, and the fact that it ended up being fully private made it even better. Belen turned a simple tour into a memorable experience. Highly recommend.
Dunja gave a great tour. It was the right pace. It was informative enough but did not feel like a lecture. She added insight about how the architecture and lighting impacted the artwork. She kept us engaged. She also did a grea job explaining the use of color. I would recommend her.
Amazing experience brought about by Ljiljana, our wonderful guide! She’s very knowledgeable and shows her excitement as she walks us through the exhibition! TOP!
Belen was the perfect guide: knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a lot of fun. She provided so much relevant history and “back” stories about the artists and cultural influences on their works. We would do it again tomorrow!
