Itinerary
Located in the heart of the French capital, a jewel of architecture proudly stands. One of the most visited buildings in France, a masterpiece that characterizes the whole essence of French art in itself, the grandiose Palais Garnier houses the Paris National Opera. If the impressive building is now rooted in the 2nd Arrondissement, and has turned into one of the most photographed place in France, it once was a mere project that had to face tremendous challenges.

With the guide Antoine He passionately shared his knowledge with us. Very good elocution. This trip was wonderful A big thank you to him
This is a very good tour. Our guide, Emilie, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She gave us the history of the Opera House and little trivia tidbits. She really knows her stuff! I think we could have stayed longer but the building was closing. Emilie took into account that one of our group had a difficult time with stairs so she made sure we took the elevator.
Rita knew how to take us back in time from the first minutes! The visit to the Opéra Garnier was both emotional, informative and humorous, a real pleasure from beginning to end. We learned a lot while having fun. Thank you Rita a thousand times for this magical moment!
This tour was a highlight of my first trip to Paris. The opera house is a jewel. We had a guided tour with Virginia and she was exceptional. She exuded so much pride as a Parisian in the beauty and history of the building and its one-of-a-kind library. I highly recommend visiting the opera house and doing it with a guided tour.
She was very good, extensive knowledge, and wanted to share. This has nothing to do with your guide, but not sure why I had to enter at least 100 characters on a review.
Thank you Rita for the guided tour which was dynamic, clear, interesting and most the music excerpts. Your smile, kindness and humor were very appreciative. And congratulations for your knowledge! Thanks.
An amazing tour of this beautiful place with Rita, our guide. She is passionate about her profession and shares her passion with visitors. I didn’t see the 2 hours pass. Thanks to her
Be prepared, unless you are first ones in morning, the crowds have now reached the opera. It was actually uncomfortable wading through. Also, crowds made it difficult to hear our private guide.
The Opera is an incredibly beautiful building that should be visited when touring Paris (or see a show if possible). The private tour certainly helped make the visit more enjoyable and worthwhile by learning more details, but it was a little long for our 10 and 12 year old kids, who after about an hour were in tough shape. I’d recommend going 1.5 hours at most with a family and the entire building can be toured in that time.
Guided tour of a group from Pas de Calais: Our guide was Celian, a charming young man, passionate and a "well of knowledge" about this magnificent building that is the Opera Garnier. Célien is the gift of oneself! of some of his knowledge! he presented us with the Building as a Ballet whose every act was a real moment of pleasure and discovery. The time in his company passed so fast, we could stay for hours listening to him... Date of experiment: 14 June 2025
