Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings

Description
Kick off with an exciting khlong boat ride down to a secret district within Old Bangkok, rarely visited by foreigners. Get set for Bangkok's tastiest food tour. This tour is only available to 8 exclusive guests each day. We'll jump in a tuk tuk, and then take a walking tour to some of Bangkok's most interesting cuisine, found in one of the city's oldest markets. Your guide will lead you to the best street food chefs that have been going for decades, family owned eateries that are catering to the crowd of hungry locals. Get your taste buds buzzing with crispy hoi tod, crispy pork belly, zingy kanom buang yuan salad, and a 'flavour bomb' of leaf-wrapped miang kham. Get stuck into delicious Thai curry, and over a dozen more lip-smackingly good delicacies. It's not all eating though. Between courses, you'll discover the remnants of Bangkok's oldest cinema, and venture to where royal dessert recipes are made. Forget pad Thai on Khao San Road, and dive into the real cuisine of Thailand.

great tourguides, you learn a lot about the ingredients of the dishes, you eat at very local spots without any tourists, boat ride and tuk tuk ride inclusive. the tour guide overall was rather expensive but the value for money is very good because of how much you try, learn and experience!
As a lover of food and especially Asian food this was absolutely fantastic. It is the best tour I have ever done. All the stops were different and well explained by our amazing guide Johnny. We loved it so much that we have booked a chef’s tour for Singapore. Johnny will be hard to beat though.
Interesting tour which included a boat, tuk tuk and bus ride which was fun. Lots of interested good to taste, with a lovely guide (Bew). Slightly difficult place to get back to the hotel from but ok
Amazing! A must try in Bangkok. You get to visit places and try food which are otherwise difficult to access as a tourist.
10/10 recommended and a must-do in Bangkok. Anya was such an amazing host as well as her assistant/fixer. We ate at local spots (other reviews weren’t kidding when they said there wasn’t another tourist in sight), learned about Thai culture and sampled *many* amazing local favourites of the area. I especially liked that we got to take a canal boat and tuktuk as part of the tour. Everything was incredible well-organized and ran so smoothly thanks to our hosts. I can’t wait to try other A Chef’s Tour offerings around the world.
At the last minute I decided to join the Old Siam BKK Food tour. I've been to Bangkok multiple times before, but I had never tried to ear like a local. Fortunately, I saw this tour pop-up in my booking.com app, and booked it right away. Amazingly they were able to take me in the same day for their 1st tour. Our guides Annie and Mr. An were amazing hosts. Annie had given great insights into Bangkok and Thailand food culture as well as how locals navigate their day to day lives. We were treated to multiple food tastings, a lot of them are not the usual food fare that tourists get to order access. It was a wonderful experience and getting around the city on foot, via a ferry and tuktuk added to the local vibes of the trip.
It is really easy to find as I walked there from my hotel which was convenient. The tour guide was really informative and funny, and the other 4 tourists I was with were great people also which made the night really great. We went to the market and learnt alot as well as the butcher. We then cooked some delicious meals so make sure you go there hungry. Recommend it to everyone.. Greg T from Australia
Our tour guide was a delight - friendly and generous. Food was similarly generous and delicious. Best thing I did in Bangkok.
This was a wonderful taste of Excellent Thai food led by an extremely knowledgeable and experienced guide. Each stop had a story of where the dish originated, what ingredients made it taste the way it did and what was unique to Thai recipes or Bangkok take on the particular dish. Only 1 or 2 had a little bit of a spicy kick but even those were so good they were not to be missed. NOT for vegetarians or other dietary limitations so read the “before you go” section. So good I will do it again next time in Bangkok especially if traveling with a person new to Thai food.
We loved the experience. The tour guide was amazing and the food was beyond good. We would 10/10 recommend this tour!
