Odysseia Cruise Sailing Through History

We participated in the tour on June 14, 2026, and I can say without a doubt that it was the best experience of the entire week of vacation in Lefkada. If you are thinking about booking it, do it: you won't regret it. We set sail from the port of Nydri at 9:00 AM, and from the very first minutes, it was clear that it wouldn't be the classic boat excursion. The guide, who also speaks Italian, was simply exceptional: while we circumnavigated the islands, he told us their history, curiosities, and legends in an engaging, passionate, and never boring way. You can see that he deeply loves these places, and he manages to transmit that passion to all the participants. The first stop was at Papanikolis Cave, where we took our first swim of the day. Diving into the crystal-clear waters inside the cave was something truly special. Afterward, we reached Spartochori, on the island of Meganisi, a small fishing village that won us over. Cobblestone streets, little souvenir shops, breathtaking views of the sea, and an authentic atmosphere that is hard to forget. Following the guide's advice, we stopped at Taverna Lakis, where I ate the best Greek yogurt with honey of my life. It seems incredible to say that about a yogurt, but we still remember it today! The next stop was the splendid beach of Lakka. Words are of little use here: transparent water, Caribbean colors, and a simply heavenly sea. I dove off the boat countless times and enjoyed every single minute. As if that weren't enough, we were served a very abundant buffet lunch, with salads of every kind, skewers, drinks galore, olives, and even ouzo. Everything organized to perfection. The return trip to Nydri was just as pleasant, alternating swimming, diving, and the stories of the guide, who seemed to know the history of every single corner of the sea we were crossing. This is what makes the tour special: it is not just a boat trip, but an experience that truly makes you know and appreciate these islands. I wouldn't know how to find a flaw. Impeccable organization, very kind crew, spectacular locations, and a relaxed atmosphere that made us experience a perfect day from start to finish. We saw places that, on our own, we probably would never have discovered. If you go to Lefkada, this tour is simply mandatory. For us, it was the best moment of the entire vacation. Rating: 10/10… actually, 10 with honors!

We had a brilliant time on our day trip with Captain Dimitris and Captain Gerry and crew. Everything was so well thought out and organised - from giving out seats to ensure families were together, to the excellent food for lunch , and all the stops. We weren’t travelling with children but the crew made them welcome and got them helping with the sails. Captain Gerry is very entertaining - bringing round the ouzo and telling stories of Greek ships and legends. We did the guided tour of the church in Spartohori village with Dimitris, who is so knowledgeable about the history of the islands. As an ex primary school teacher/ history geek I loved the stories and history incorporated in the trip! The swimming stops were great and the chance to swim in the cave was fun. Lunch on the beach was delicious, and really plentiful and there was a big choice of drinks. We took another boat trip during our stay, but this trip was far superior. The Captains and crew go out of their way to make you welcome and ensure you have a great trip. Would highly recommend it, especially if you are interested in learning as you sail.

Second time, just fabolous, fantastic vibe

This was an absolutely great boat trip. The crew was friendly funny and knowing. The combination of sailing sun bathing swimming hearing about local history and finally a bbq beach party. Go!!!!

What a fantastic day we had with the Odysseia boat trip from Nydri!⛵️ Everything was organized to perfection. Along the way we learned a lot about the history of Lefkada and the story of Odysseus, which made the trip extra special. From swimming in a cave 🏊 to visiting the picturesque village of Spartachori ⛪️everything was equally fun. The crew was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and provided a cozy atmosphere on board. The BBQ was excellently cared for and very tasty. A nice detail was that there were umbrellas on the beach ready🏖 so you could comfortably enjoy the food and the beautiful surroundings in the shade. A perfect combination of relaxation, conviviality and interesting stories. This boat trip is definitely recommended for anyone visiting Lefkada!🌞🐢

This was an amazing boat trip from start to finish. The crew were so friendly and could not have done more for us. The boat is charming and the swim stops are varied and not hurried. The guided explanation bit is right up to date and covers everything from ancient history to modern economic concerns. It is also very refreshing to be on a small and more traditional boat than the huge ones who undertake day cruises in this area. This is a family run business with wonderful Greek hospitality and they went above and beyond in helping me and my sister get back to Meganisi as we were going to be late for the last ferry back there! Thank you again!

First time in Lefkada; before the trip, I researched possible excursions, and I had no doubts from the start; I would choose it again a thousand times. The captain and all the staff are very kind and friendly; the lunch on the beach, entirely at our disposal, was our favorite moment, and the products, all prepared on the spot, were truly exquisite. 😋❤️🫶🏻🔝

Fantastic trip with outstanding staff mixing swimming stops and sight seeing . Visiting different areas close to Nidri and surrounding islands . Good facilities and lovely food drinks reasonably priced .

Sailing aboard Odysseia felt like stepping into another era, where the stories of heroes and gods come alive among the emerald islands and crystal-clear waters. The atmosphere on board was simply magical: delicious food, laughter, music, swimming in hidden bays and fascinating stories shared with passion throughout the day. Every detail was carefully thought out to make guests feel not like tourists, but like honored friends. A heartfelt thank you to Captain Gerasimos, to Dimitris and to the entire wonderful crew for their warmth, professionalism and contagious enthusiasm. You turned a beautiful day at sea into an unforgettable memory. We boarded as guests and left feeling like part of the Odysseia family. An experience absolutely worth doing! Friendly and nice crew, especially the captain who is a bit unconventional! Clean and comfortable boat! They took us to enchanting places, especially the beach where we ate with crystal-clear water. They set a table with skewers, Greek salad, and tzatziki. Umbrellas were also available. Highly recommended!
