Excellent guide for Saint Chappell and other sites. Even on a miserable hot day she managed to keep it interesting and moving for the whole group. Given the heat her discussion of the renovation of Notre Dame using a model was better than the guide we hired for the same purpose at Notre Dame.
This tour was amazing. Our tour guide really knew what he was talking about and explained everything to us as we walked past. A must see location.
Our guide was pleasant but struggled greatly with her English. At times, she was very hard to understand and did not know terms in English for what she was trying to explain. I specifically requested a private tour in English beforehand. As much as punctuality is emphasized in that you receive numerous emails warning that if you are not there five minutes early, the tour is considered cancelled with no refund, the guide showed up five minutes late after scheduled start time. Our one hour tour went like this- 15 minutes spent on a bench with her showing us pictures in a notebook of medieval architecture, about beams, the importance of oak, how oak is hard to get now, how it was built structurally independent so it wouldn't collapse, ...not the most interesting parts of its structural features. 15 minutes spent outside in front of the church, talking a little about the engravings and her interpretation...however, do not ask questions because she did not know the answers to any questions outside her prepared talk. No mention of parvis square, point zero, what was found under the parvis, gargoyles. 15 minutes in a long line, waiting to get into the church...wouldn't it have been a better use of time to have discussed the front of the church at this point, since this is where the line was located? 15 minutes on an actual tour of the inside of the church...there was only time to discuss two paintings, one side of the wooden panels, and the quick mention of the thorns, cross and nail from the crucifixion. This part was very disappointing and severely limited in information. She left after walking quickly through 1/3 of the inside space and giving her brief talk. Very disappointing. Not worth the money. Definitely recommend renting a headset inside the church instead for more information.
Our guide, Temmy, was very knowledgeable. Gave us great information. I think the hour was plenty of time.
Not really'guided' but guide did historical information before entering cathedral. No tour guide presentations allowed inside, but guide answered questions and occasionally pointed out things.
We had a wonderful tour with our guide Temmy. She was extremely knowledgeable and had many interesting facts about Norte Dame before and after the fire. We met with Temmy outside of the cathedral where she told us an incredible amount of information about the cathedral. After meeting with Temmy, we were fully prepared to go into the cathedral and understand what we were seeing. I highly recommend this tour with Temmy as a great way to experience Norte Dame!
Although crowded our guide stayed with our group. He gave a historical overview at the beginning and more background inside. I enjoyed discussing his favorite sculpture inside.
Daniel was very enthusiastic and went out of his way to be sure everyone in the group saw all important aspects of Notre Dame.
Daniel was a wonderful tour guide. He walked us through the rich history and helped us appreciate what we saw in the beautiful cathedral.
Wonderful experience. Daniel was a great tour guide! Highly recommended to use him as a guide. Very knowledgeable.
