Truly an excellent tour. We took the glaciers and waterfalls tour of the south coast of Iceland - Small group tour. The promised itinerary was fulfilled, and there was enough time at each stop to enjoy each place. Dafne is an extraordinarily good guide and driver. I 100% recommend taking this small group tour with her; you will enjoy it from start to finish.
Let me begin by saying that I have been hoping to see the northern lights in full display for over 11 years, ever since I got a hazy glimpse of them on the horizon. Our tour guide was Nebo, and I am more than satisfied with his performance. He was just as excited as we were to find the lights, and took time to give us the game plan before the "fishing" as he called it, got started. He also told us about the settings for phones if we hoped to capture some of the lights ourselves, just adding to his reputation of caring about the individual experience of each person on the trip. As we neared Þingvellir he had his eyes on the sky, pulled over, and hopped out the bus. He told us there was some faint visibility, and we got to see some subtle green lights. The patience at our stop paid off however, as the lights began to dance quickly across the sky, becoming more vibrant, and casting pillars above and around us. It was an incredible light show, watching the excited movement of the Aurora is one of the most beautiful things you can witness. After these faded, he moved on further and stopped us again and here we saw the long broad bands of the lights, slowly arching and painting across the sky. His camera was ready and was taking stunning long exposure photos of all of the people on the tour under the lights. We of course got our excellent Hot Cocoa and Icelandic Kleinas, to keep us warm outside the bus. There was no rushing anyone, everything was conducted with care, patience, and genuine interest in one of the most spectacular experiences we have as humans. My wife and I had an incredible time, and we will never forget about it, nor will we forget about Nebo. The pictures I got from my own phone are incredible, and I can't wait to get the ones Nebo took in a few days! Overall this experience was one for a lifetime of memories, and I'll always be grateful to Nebo for how good of a "fisherman" he is. We knew it was the last night for the Northern Lights tour so we were half expecting not to see anything but Nebo knew exactly where to ‘fish’! He was brilliant and we were thrilled to catch this amazing phenomenon
Nebo was our guide and he was absolutely excellent! It was right at the end of the season, and we were still able to see some of the most amazing lights. We were in awe of the beauty of Mother Nature's excellence, and we could not have had this experience without Nebo. He was very knowledgeable, caring, and as excited about the lights as we were. Thank you so much for this amazing experience that we will never forget!!!
We loved the tour! Our guide Nebo was amazing and we highly recommend this tour.
Punctual pickup. Managed our expectations and understanding of the lights. Nebo was generous of his knowledge, time, photos & hot cacao!
We had a good, successful trip to see the northern lights. Our guide, Nebo, was an expert and found us a clear spot that had lights appear after a bit of time waiting for the sun to go down. Would recommend!
We were very lucky to see the lights in mid April! Nebo was a great host ensuring everyone had pictures with the lights and received their hot chocolate considering we were spread out amongst other tour groups it must have been like hearing sheep. If you can go a smaller tour definitely do it. I couldn’t fault Nordur and their service. Thank you for helping me tick another item off my travel bucket list.
My son and. I had a wonderful time at the northern lights tour with Nebo. We had booked for the previous night but the conditions weren’t right, and the tour was cancelled and offered to reschedule. It was the second last night of northern lights tours and we were so lucky to find them! Nebo drove us to the best spot, I think the only one with no clouds and we had the most beautiful display. He was a great tour guide, he clearly loves finding the auroras and knows a lot about it and was happy to explain. Thankyou!!
