Begin before dawn as you head to Lovina Beach, known for its calm northern waters. Board a traditional outrigger boat and glide into the open sea while the sky shifts from deep blue to sunrise tones. Wild dolphins often surface alongside the boat, leaping or cruising near the waves. Although sightings vary by season and nature’s mood, the quiet ocean sunrise alone makes this early start worthwhile.

After the boat returns, continue through small villages to Banjar Hot Spring, a peaceful complex set among tropical gardens. These warm, sulfur-rich pools are believed to help ease muscle tension after the early morning outing. Continue to the main Twin Lake vantage point to overlook for an unfiltered view of Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan, two crater lakes bordered by dense rainforest. Mist often rolls across the water in the morning, creating soft, atmospheric layers over the landscape. It’s a calm, open vista perfect for appreciating Bali’s natural highland beauty.
