Itinerary
Let us do the driving while you discover history. Your Normandy day trip from Paris starts with the 3-4-hour drive to France’s northwest coast. Your journey will take through some scenery landscapes before you reach at 10am your first stop.
Pointe du Hoc is a historic cliff-top site on the Normandy coast, famous for its role in the D-Day landings of World War II. U.S. Army Rangers scaled the cliffs under heavy fire to destroy German fortifications overlooking the beaches. Today, the site remains scarred with craters and bunkers and serves as a powerful memorial.
Omaha Beach: one of the toughest american landings. You will know all about the American assault during the Early hours hours of June 6, 1944, one of the most longstanding examples of American military triumph and also an event synonymous with death and destruction.
You will then be able to pay your respects in the eery calm of the American Cemetery and Memorial, where nearly 10,000 US military war dead lie in this most humbling tribute.
Free time for lunch at Arromanches. If you selected the option with the lunch included you will enjoy a 2-courses lunch with 1 drink. You can choose 1 of the following drinks: 12cl of wine, 25 cl of beer, Soft (soda), 50cl of Sparkling or Still water
Stop at the Juno Beach Center, witness of the Canadian soldiers' struggle to end the Nazi tyranny. Time to return back to Paris! You will be dropped at the departure point by 8:00PM.

The bus was extremely small and uncomfortable for such a long ride! There were stops, that helped, but there also was no bathroom on the bus! Again there were stops so not that much of a problem. This tour should have been in a large comfortable bus! It was expensive also. The sights where we were taken were great, and was happy to see them. But we were rushed because of how long a trip we had. The tour guide was very nice, he recommended a restaurant that was good, but nothing can make that bus trip be ok!

Absolutely extraordinary wonderful experience on this tour Our guide very knowledgeable about the history and everything that brought America and Europe to this point. Great driver and again great tour guide. What we liked about him? He was very matter of fact, and he kept people on time and in a group like that that’s very important. He did a wonderful job again the tour very very much worth it.

Long day of driving but worth it. Very nice to get out of the city and learn about the history behind D-Day. Guide was extremely knowledgeable.

Every single stop we made on this trip was rushed, especially the cemetery. I could barely understand our guide’s English so I misunderstood a lot of his instructions about what to do. I would not recommend this tour.
Dear Lois, Thank you for your comment. We are sorry that the pace of the tour seemed rushed to you and that communication with the guide was not entirely clear. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we will forward your comments to the operations department so they can review what happened. We hope to welcome you again in the future and offer you a more satisfactory experience. Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
I cannot even begin to describe what an amazing tour this was! Our guide was so knowledgeable and nice! At the American Cemetery, you cannot go up to the headstones; however, when I told our guide I had a Great Uncle buried there and was hoping to see his headstone, he took me straight to the welcome center and they took me to his grave! Without the help of our guide, it probably wouldn’t have been possible. Highly recommend this tour to anyone!!!
Dear Annette, Thank you very much for your comment. We are extremely glad to know that the tour was so special for you and that our guide was able to help you visit your relative’s grave at the American Cemetery. We are proud to be able to offer this type of personalized attention. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another occasion. Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
Our tour was in a small sized bus. Guide was very knowledgable about D-day and surrounding region. She added extras about the American cementary and landing in normandy for us. We were able to stop for lunch and souvenirs and walk on the beach. Bring an umbrella for uncertain weather. Lots of walking for those who arent used to it at sites. All in all, great experience!
Dear Nicole, Thank you very much for your comment. We are glad to know that you enjoyed the tour and that our guide was able to provide additional information about D-Day and the region. We also appreciate your comments about the stops and the organization of the tour. We hope to welcome you again on another occasion to continue discovering more historical places together. Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
The best way to tour the Normandy D-Day sites without a your own vehicle. Our Tour Guide, Nicholas was excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable and organized the timing during the tour perfectly.

My wife and I book d the small group with lunch tour. Things started ok. The meeting spot was easy to find. We were immediately checked in and directed to our van. I’m pretty sure our guide did not introduce himself. The ride there was without issue. We made the decision (mistake) to book on D-Day. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, do not do this!!! There were crowds and closed off streets everywhere. Our guide and driver got into an argument over the driving situation. We were allowed only 15-20 minutes at Pointe-du-Hoc, which was not nearly enough time to explore and take in the area. During this stop, our guide provided very little in the way of guidance. It was essentially, the water is over there. Have a look and be back to the van in 15. Omaha Beach was the same. No “guiding” at all at this spot. Take 15 minutes to get some photos and get back on the bus. Admittedly, that is honestly probably sufficient at Omaha Beach. Then the real fiasco started. Our next stop was the American Cemetery. There was so much traffic and police that we ended up on some back road that was barely wide enough for one vehicle. Numerous times passing cars would have to go up on the embankment just so we could pass. We finally got to the cemetery and were allowed 30-45 minutes there. If you are keeping track, that’s an absolute maximum of 75 minutes of actual sightseeing with little to no actual effort on the part of our guide. After that we went to our included lunch spot. I’m pretty sure they didn’t want to let us in, because there was a heated exchange between the host and our guide. We eventually got inside and had a pretty poor fish and chips. Not everything that sucked about this experience was the fault of our guide, but he did not help the situation or attempt to make up for all of the issues. All in all, this tour was absolutely not worth the money. Rent a car from Paris and have a nice drive and actually spend time at the sites, museums, and villages. I wish I e had.
If you are looking for a tour of Normandy I would not recommend this tour. Our tour guide dropped us off at Obama beach and said you have 20 minutes. Unable to see Pointe du hoc as it was closed to the public. His remarks were will they close it all the time. Spent on hour and a half for lunch. Suppose to stop at Juno Beach and we just drove by it… no stopping. The guide had radios to hand out so he could communicate what we were seeing but never handed them out or used them. Spent 8 hours in a van and paid very good money for a tour we could have taken on our own. Very disappointing!
Dear Jennifer Thank you for your comment. We sincerely regret that the tour did not meet your expectations and that some parts of the itinerary could not be carried out as planned. We understand your disappointment regarding the course of the visit, and we will forward your comments to the relevant department in order to review what happened. We hope to see you again so that we can offer you a service that meets your expectations. Kind regards, Extime Travel (formerly Paris City Vision)
