We enjoyed the tour tremendously. Lake Toya was spectacular and the weather cooperates the entire day. The local ice cream and yoghurt drink was delicious. Overall, with Ko as our guide, things were relaxed and well planned.
Wonderful introduction to Hokkaido which is more nature and food focused. We really enjoyed the beauty of Lake Toya and Noribetsu as well as the impossibly creamy and savory soft serve at the dairy farm in Niseko. Ko is the best guide you could ask for- incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and very kind. Learned a ton about Hokkaido from him. Also Ko helped connect us to his colleague Yushi for a matcha tea set we were looking for- Yushi was so generous with his tea business.
Our guide Miya was very helpful and well informed about our tour. We had a great time visiting the placea especially the hell valley.
Excellent experience, Baku is a very kind and attentive guide, providing great recommendations, always with a positive attitude. We had not located the departure point well, and he kindly went to where we were so that we would not miss the tour. We greatly appreciated that. Regarding the route, the Valley of Hell is truly impressive. It was a cloudy day, but we were still able to enjoy a surreal view, unique on our planet. Lake Toya is very beautiful; one can stroll around, and perhaps there is time to sail a bit on the lake. The farm is charming and is a good stop on the way to Sapporo. We wished we could have stopped by Cape Kamui; we know it is not on the tour route, but including it would make it even more fantastic (although we understand it would take several more hours). In summary, we loved the tour; definitely recommended!
This was an excellent small-group tour and felt almost semi-private. The Japanese guide spoke perfect English and was very pleasant to chat with. The whole experience was smooth, comfortable, and well organized, with a quiet group. For the price, it felt like very good value compared with larger mixed-language bus tours, and I would definitely recommend this tour.
We had a fantastic day with Baku, Ashleigh and I have forgotten the Korean tour guides name (very sorry). Our first stop was the breathtaking sight of Noboribetsu (Hell Valley). We had 40 minutes to enjoy this area. Our next stop was the spectacular Lake Toya township where we had a footbath overlooking the lake with Mt. Yotei in the distance. Having a 1 1/2 hour stop, we then found a nice small restaurant to eat our lunch. Our next stop was a viewing area of the lake which was more spectacular. Our next stop was the farm with incredible views of the Mt. Yotei (Ezo Fuji or Mt. Fuji of Hokkaido). By this time of the day, the clouds had lifted and we could see the entire Mountain. We bought beautiful creamy ice cream at the store here. Our final stop was at the Lawson with Mt. Yotei as the backdrop. Had a fantastic day, highly recommend
The volcanic area was quite interesting and worth a visit. Nonetheless the tour is on the pricey side.
