Itinerary
07h30 - 8h00: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter for transfer to Ninh Binh. 09h15: You will have a short break of 15 - 20 minutes to stretch your legs, use the facilities or have a quick snack.
10h30: Visiting Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from years 968 to 1010. Then you will visit the Temple of Dinh King and Le King to learn more about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.
11h15 - 11h45: It’s time to join our 30 minutes cycling activity to discover the life of the local people. Or stay behind and either relax in the restaurant for sightseeing and capture the views around lake, waterfall and valleys. 12h00-12h45: You will have a lunch with local specialties in the private area of our Trang An Heritage Garden. The vegetarian option is also available.
13h15 - 13h30: Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land”, where you will spend 1.5 hours on the boat to explore this area. On this excursion down the Ngo Dong River, you will pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formation, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba caves for a unique experience.
15h30: We continue to visit Mua Cave and climb 500 steps to reach the peak of Ngoa Long Mountain, overlooking the amazing view of the city and Tam Coc below.
16h30 - 17h00: Transfer back to Hanoi. 19h00 - 19h30: Drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter

We chose the mid-range option: a trip in a small bus that included all entrance fees and lunch. It was an excellent choice. The bus picked us up near our hotel in the Old Quarter, and the buffet lunch was superb. The activities were perfectly paced throughout the day. Our guide, Zung, provided just the right amount of information about the sights we visited, as well as general facts and some details about Vietnam. Guide Zung was always available to answer all our questions and did a fantastic job bringing together a group of nearly 20 people. A trip to the Ninh Binh region is definitely a must-do for any traveler in Vietnam—featuring stunning scenery, a boat ride through caves, and views of steep mountains. The visit to the shrine offered just the right amount of history and tradition. From the moment I booked the tour until the very end of the day, everything was absolutely perfect. I booked the excursion through my hotel, trusted their recommendation, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The agency even arranged for someone to pick me up from my hotel and take me to the meeting point, which was a bit far away, making the whole experience completely stress-free. Our guide, Loy was fantastic. He created a great atmosphere from the very beginning and made everyone feel welcome. Beyond explaining the itinerary, he shared fascinating insights about the landscapes, Vietnamese culture, and many other places to visit throughout Vietnam. You could really feel his passion, and his enthusiasm made the whole day even more enjoyable. On top of that, he took absolutely incredible photos for us. I wasn’t expecting that at all, and it was such a wonderful bonus! I had an unforgettable day and will cherish these memories for a long time. I highly recommend this agency to anyone visiting Ninh Binh. The organization was flawless from start to finish.

He shared fascinating stories about the history, culture, and local traditions, making every stop much more meaningful. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and passionate about his job. He explained everything with so much enthusiasm, answered all of our questions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the day. His positive energy and great sense of humor made the trip even more enjoyable. We were a crowd of 17 and were pick up at our Hotel at 7:30. Fantastisk tour, with lot of variaty. First visit temple, then cycling, before lunch. After lunch we had the boat trip before we climbed up the 500 steps to Mua Cave top. Highly recommended for all!
