I would not trust this company. I made reservations for June in March; paid $67.50 deposit for 3 tickets. Last minute they notified me it was cancelled due to lack of other reservations. Offered another date, but we had other reservations/tickets for Broadway shows. Was told I would receive a full refund of my deposit since it was their cancellation. Over 2 weeks later and still no refund. NYC was packed; if nobody else booked this tour it must not be worth it. I’m angry I did not receive my refund. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
We sincerely apologize that your tour had to be canceled due to an insufficient number of participants. As promised, we processed your full refund after the cancellation. Refunds are issued promptly on our end, although the time it takes for the funds to appear depends on the booking platform or payment provider. If you have still not received your refund, please contact us directly with your booking details so we can investigate and ensure the matter is resolved. We appreciate your patience and regret that we were unable to welcome you on the tour.
We had a great experience with Danny as our tour guide. He was incredibly nice and kind from the moment we met him, which made the whole tour feel comfortable and welcoming. Danny was patient with questions and made sure everyone in the group was engaged and having a good time. Overall, his friendly personality and professionalism really stood out, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great tour experience.

Lovely day but a very long one. The breakfast stop is over two hours after leaving NY and the lunch break was around 3pm so be prepared. Our driver/guide was good and the day informative.
The Guide was the driver too. He was not able to tell the history well. The most spots , he didnt even stop the car
Hello, thank you for your feedback. We made several attempts to contact you after your tour to better understand your concerns, but unfortunately we did not receive a response. This tour is designed as a guided day trip where the driver also provides commentary, which is common for small-group experiences. All scheduled stops were completed as outlined. Please note that MIT is not included in this itinerary. We always aim to deliver a complete and well-organized experience and remain available if you would like to discuss this further. Best regards, Royal City Tours
Had an amazing trip with Royal City Tours. Highly recommended. Milly and Daniel were fantastic. Milly’s knowledge sharing throughout the tour, especially on the history of Harvard University and Boston, made the whole experience so engaging. It was a long walk, but absolutely worth it. Fun fact: I technically went to Harvard… just never graduated. I touched the shoes, though. The Boston & Maine clam chowder was a really good lunch choice — definitely my go-to if I come back again. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such an amazing experience on the Boston & Harvard tour. Milly will be especially happy to know her storytelling and historical insights made the day engaging and memorable — she truly loves bringing Harvard and Boston’s history to life. And we love your “Harvard graduate” fun fact! Touching the shoes definitely counts as a special moment. 😊 Great choice with the clam chowder as well — a true Boston classic! Thank you again for traveling with Royal City Tours. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
The guide felt like she was rushing us, hence we didnt get enough time to see the places. I don't even take too much photos of myself but still felt like she was on a hurry. Another thing is I didnt know tipping culture is required, I thought it was just appreciated. Our guide asked for it.
Hello, thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the guide. We understand the tour may have felt rushed. Due to the distance from New York City to Boston, this is a full-day trip with a structured itinerary designed to cover the main highlights within limited time. Travel time is significant, and we aim to balance transportation with meaningful stops, though this can feel fast-paced for some guests. Regarding tipping, it is not required in the United States but is customary if you feel the service met your expectations. Guides are allowed to mention it, but it is always completely optional, and there is no obligation. We appreciate your comments and will review how both pacing and communication are handled to improve the overall experience for future travelers. Best regards, Royal City Tours
