Navigation to the Penguins island - USHUAIA - Beagle Channel

Description
We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Pier of our city, towards the center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying, as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia. We sail towards the southwest, approaching the sea lions island observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting. Continuing the navigation, we will go to the Birds island, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to spot species of marine birds. We continue sailing towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Following the south coast of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, when we get to Martillo Island, we will approach the beach and will observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with remarkable curiosity, enter the sea by swimming under the catamaran and re-emerge. A party that invites us to take countless photographs. From here we return by sailing to the Tourist Pier

Itinerary
We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Dock of our city, heading towards the center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying, as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia, seeing the most important buildings such as the Maritime Museum (old prison) , Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains.
We sail towards the southwest, approaching Los Lobos Island, where, from the boat, we can enjoy the view of specimens of sea lions, observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting. Continuing navigation, we will head towards the Island of Los Pájaros, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged area to spot specimens of marine birdlife.
We continue sailing towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name. On these islets it is possible to see parts of Monte Cervantes, a ship that shipwrecked in 1930. At all these points of interest, the catamaran will stop and make several turns to make it easier for passengers to take the best photographs. Following the southern coast of the Big Island of Tierra del Fuego we will see the Estancia Remolino where the ship Monte Sarmiento is stranded. Crossing the Beagle Channel in a North-South direction we will see Gable Island and the Puerto Williams Naval Base (located on Navarino Island, Republic of Chile).

The boat didn't circumnavigate Martillo Island and because of this we only saw Magellanic Penguins. Papua and king penguins were on the other side of the island and the company refused to let the passage see them althoug it was included in the program of the activity.
Dear customer, I am sorry that you did not enjoy the tour. But going around the island exclusively depends on the tide. The captain is who determines if it safe or not. In any case the different species are seen all over the island but sometimes they move from one place to the other. If the tide and the weather are right the boat turns around the whole island. Best regards
The voyage was quite comfortable and exciting. We had ample time to enjoying watching and photographing the comorants, sea lions and penguins as well as the lighthouse. During the cruising time from one viewing area to the next, the indoor cabins were a welcomed relief from the cold. The guide was very personable and took the time to answer questions from the guests.
Thank you very much for taking this tour and we are happy to know that you have enjoyed it.
