It was good. Pablo was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He pointed out many different animals/birds/and foliage/trees, etc. Very informative.
Our guide was amazing and if it was just for Steven, we would give this tour 5/5! We have done other guided tours for the past 2 weeks and we still were able to learn new things from him, he was super nice and knowledgable, his English was perfect! However, the communication with the tour operator was unclear. They responded to some messages, but not when we had further questions, they didn’t communicate which trail should we purchase, the meeting point in the booking is different than what they later communicated in a message, we asked staff from the Monteverde Reserve reception for help and they were also confused by the messages. Additionally, the tour at the end took 2h instead of 3h, so we needed to adjust our rating to the overall experience.
Great tour! Daniel was a wonderful guide and knowledgeable of animals. We were able to see sloth and several animals.
We did the cloud forest tour with Óscar and it was an incredible experience. He worked very hard so that we could observe all the species he was finding and explaining. It was a spectacular 4 hours. 100% recommended
Very knowledgeable guide. Guides seemed to share and help each other find animals. Clouds rolling in around furthest point during the walk.
Cloud forest that is worth observing and enjoying with all the senses. Its microclimate favors a cooler environment, which is appreciated.

Oscar was an excellent guide! He took the time to show us many animals as well as pretty plants (miniature orchids). We also took advantage of this tour to discuss Costa Rica, its recent developments, its economy…. It was very interesting. Oscar adapted to the whole family and also to our three teenagers. I highly recommend this tour
We had Oscar as our guide. He was great, very knowledgeable in the environment and in his explanation of the fauna and flora. We also got to see animals up close thanks to his scope. Would highly recommend.
My guide didn't show, but another guide took me into his group. There's so much to learn about the cloud forest ecosystem. My guide, George, was fantastic. Bring your own binoculars if you have them. Bring your phone so the guide can get photos and videos through their spotting scope.
An excellent experience with Roy as guide. Just 3 clients, so much better than most other far larger groups we saw, and he pointed out many things we would never have seen without his guidance and spotting scope. He has vast experience and knowledge, and seemed to be deferred to by other guides. We got a full 3.5 hours of his close attention, and no time was wasted. The focus was primarily on birds, and included sightings of the elusive resplendent quetzal as well as toucans and a rare falcon. Highly recommended.
