Enjoy the thrilling sumo matches, S/A/B-class seats until the tour ends at IG Arena which newly opens in the summer of 2025! Time Schedule: 15:40 - Makuuchi Wrestler Ceremonial Entrance, Yokozuna Grand Champion Ring Entrance (will not take place if there are no Yokozuna present.) The crowd comes alive at the sight of their favorite wrestlers and cheers them on. The atmosphere in the arena brightens instantly. 16:00 - Makuuchi Division Wrestlers' Sumo Matches 18:00 - Bow-twirling Ceremony

- Depending on reservations, members of the same group may not be seated together. Requests for specific seats are not accepted
- Smoking is not allowed inside the venue
- Refunds will not be provided even if a customer does not enter a facility for their own reason, etc
- If making plans for before or after the tour on the same day, and for those joining from Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, etc., please leave enough time in your schedule
- Customers who are late for the departure time will have their reservations canceled. Please give yourself plenty of time. Customers may not join partway through the tour
- Please note that you may have to wait to be taken to your seat or listen to explanations by the National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter if one of the following events is underway at the time: a sumo match, a speech by the Sumo Association (on the first and the last tournament day), the ring entering procession of the Makuuchi division wrestlers (dohyoiri), the ring entering procession of the Yokozuna, or the ritual stomping ceremony (last tournament day only)
- Only 1 child 0-3 years old per adult may join for free. Grand Sumo Tournament viewing seats will not be provided for them. They will have to sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. Ages are determined based on how old the participant will be on the day of the tour. If the child requires a seat, please make a booking at the child rate (typically for ages 4-11), same price as the Adult rate
- Bringing food and drinks including alcohol into the venue is prohibited
- Meals are not included. You may have a meal at a shop or cafeteria inside the tournament venue, or at Nagoya Castle Kinshachi Yokocho
- Shops in the facility accept only cashless payments. As cash is not accepted, bringing a credit card or similar payment method is recommended
- For those participating in a wheelchair, please indicate so in the remarks field when booking
- From the venue's wheelchair storage area, please go to the spectator seating area on your own or with the help of an accompanying group member. Please note that the National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter cannot provide assistance or help
- Wheelchairs cannot be used in the spectator seating area arranged for this tour
- Suitcases and other large pieces of luggage cannot be brought into the seating area. In addition, baggage cannot be stored at the meeting location. Please make sure to store luggage at another location on your own in advance (coin lockers, etc.) or at your accommodation

Great experience! Amazing exposure to another aspect of Japanese culture! Too bad they overpriced tickets so much!
The activity is as described. The guide spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about sumo. A very fun and memorable experience.
The occasion was great. They got a good insight into the sumo tournament. The seats were good. One had a good view of the fighting.
The guide was super helpful, sharing history, news, describing the ranking of the wrestlers and generally how Sumo happens. Fantastic show. All of which in comfortable seats!
Guides were at the meeting point very early, they provided many helpful reference materials about the sumo event we were to watch, and our guide provided interesting information before and during the event which we could hear via individual headsets to enhance our experience.
This was a great "sumo for beginners" experience. Great seats and a very knowledgeable and passionate host.
Rumi was an excellent guide. She showed us around, provided materials, and history as well as running English commentary. The history and tradition of sumo were fascinating to learn about, and of course any time you get to watch such an intense sport you’ll find yourself cheering alongside the fans. It was a great time overall.

The Sumo Tournament was fantastic! We had heard that the arena could be hot but our seats , upper level with back rests, were very cool and comfortable. Our guide was great with her explaining the matches and giving background on the wrestlers. We loved this once in a lifetime experience! The only complaint we had was regarding the meeting place. It was right in the middle of the busy train station. We gave ourselves an extra 45 minutes but still nearly missed the meet up. We put the visitor center name in Google Maps and it showed outside the station! Klook always shows photos of the meeting area. Trip Advisor should do the same.
Such an Amazing experience!! I absolutely loved our guide, she provided every detail of the tournament from all of the fighters and their backgrounds, she was very knowledgeable! The event is long but you have plenty of opportunities to go shopping at the souvenir stores and try the local food trucks. I will say make sure to eat before hand if you want to avoid being hungry. All in all i would 100% recommend. Probably once in a lifetime experience for me since I'm American.
